Woo I am finally back if anyone even remembers me lol. I just finished downloading most of Sonic X downloads. I must say the series surprised me although some eps were fillers, however the series overall is well done and probably my most favorite sonic series to date.
Also in Sonic Adventure 2 game I actually didn't feel bad for Shadow's dying in the series, maybe it was because of the voice acting or maybe because the plot was at times ridiculous but Sonic X-38 ending to that adaptation not only fixed some of the plot holes but also made you sad for black hedgehog and I think thats something special.
In other note, I hope they don't bring Shadow back in the 2nd series even if they were to do a Sonic Heroes adaptation, it would ruin the ending of Sonic adventure 2 Adapatation and I think that anime team should be given free reign in shaping sonic heroes story. I am happy that its an alternate universe plot line which means that they can provide a better storytelling for Sonic Heroes then what sonic team did for that game -_-. Also I can't wait to Metal Sonic: D.

Quick question: Was this meant for the US thread, or are you referring to the Japanese episodes?
If so, surely you would know that Shadow is infact dead and now a ghost, we get confirmation in episode 50 I believe, when he and Maria hold hands, and the ARK springs to life, helping Tails and friends get home while Sonic and the human decide to destroy two worlds to preserve their friendship.
Actually I am downloading the japanese eps but I didn't know that fact since some downloads are taking too long and some won't work so I am basically piecing them together 
. Yes I know Shadow is dead but I didn't know he was a ghost interesting, I am glad to hear that he won't be coming back in Sonic Heroes adapation*sighs in happiness*.
Don't assume there is a Sonic Heroes adaption, that's just speculation. No one's confirmed a thing.
Even still, no one can guarantee that a Shadow Clone wont make an appearance, as there were quite a few of them running around, but at least it would be a dead cert that the real Shadow is well, dead.
I reckon if they did a Sonic Heroes adaption they'd opt for the same path as the Sonic Battle one and just do a story roughly based upon it, but not actually following the game at all.
Well I always thought the shadow in Sonic Heroes was a robot copy but anyway at least he is resting in peace*shrugs*. Yes it was mere guess on my part but with sonic adventure series adapation and battle, it seemed fair to expect them to make a Heroes adapation later,I want metal sonic damn it doesn't matter heroes adaptation or not 
. Is it a fair bet to say that the next one will take place on the earth again or it hasn't been confirmed yet.

Meh, as long as it isn't cheesy or a name that's been used hundreds of times, anything could work for it. Wouldn't mind it being called "Freedom" or "Mobius", though...heck, if there's a need to even give the planet a name.
After all, plenty of games out there make do without a name for their world (the characters of FF VII just called theirs "the planet") 😛
I believe it was implied that was Earth, though, judging from the scene where that old guy was explaining the Lifestream having a very similar solar system AND from Sephy's Supernova (and how the planets it "obliterates" are from OUR solar system - I believe the only planets left untouched would be Uranus and Mars).
Well, actually, one of the posters/promo pages for Advent Children stated the planet's name was "Gaea" (wow, how original, eh? :P). Not sure if that's still true, or if it's even stated in the movie, but anyway...(I'll try to find the page).

They use the name "Gaia" pretty often in the Final Fantasy games, and in the movie.
I think the only time the planet itself was referred to as Gaia was Final Fantasy 9 (Terra and Gaia), in Final Fantasy 7 I believe it was speaking about the Life-stream, in the same way the movie refers to Gaia as the life-force of the planet, which fights the phantoms.

That character looks awfully like Lumina to me...
Yeah, she is similar to Lumina.
Her name accidental to the character is "COSMO".
And, the name of the mecha is "Blue Typhoon".
I suppose that may be the weapon of Sonic side, because the name has "Blue".

Maybe. The front top part of Typhoon seems like a road in front of Tails's house in SA, or a road in front of Chuck's workshop in Sonic X.

Oh dear... I really hope that is concept art from the original series, with a few designs which went un-used. I don't like the brat being in the same pile of sheets as stuff which might feature in series 2...
That's what I think of it: unused character designs for characters and props that never came to be and/or were dropped. But that doesn't mean it can't be looked into again when this mystery new season finally gets off the ground.
You'd think after a year of having the rights to make another 13 episodes that they would have at least finished enough to give some teasers and such.
I mean, I remember getting info about Gundam SEED Destiny while the original series was still airing (though, admitedly all we had was "a new season will be airing from the first week of September" and then started getting screens, concept sketches as little as 4 months later, and a video of the intro about 8 months after announcement.
With Sonic X, we're already at the 8 month mark and still haven't heard anything...

For people who were wondering where to get the soundtrack (which includes Sonic Drive and Mirai, but unfortunately not the other stuff Sam uploaded), I got my copy online from YesAsia.com. Their shipping seemed pretty reasonable and as far as I can tell the CD's legit (given that I don't read Japanese!) - it had adverts for the official DVDs and some toys etc. on the inner sleeve.
The CD has most of the incidental music for each episode, including Scream Test (yay!) and themes for the S-Team, Shadow, the Master Emerald, Eggman-sama, the X Tornado etc.
Hope this isn't too far off-topic,

Well on the bright side, Cosmo is now going to appear, which means they are no longer shy about introducing furry (or at least non-human) original characters. Also interesting as Cosmo looks sort of like Void and Lumina.
Also, that final scene probably means Sonic Heroes... and that Shadow is returning...
