I think that set of backgrounds shown there are the ones that were used in the first series, not what'll necessarily be used in the second.

Twenty-six, and yes... yes they are.
It's possible these "rumoured" new episodes may never air in Japan and instead debut in the West. It's happened before.
In case anyone is wondering what show that is its Ultimate Muscle also known as Kinnikuman Second Generation in Japan.
Just a quick note...TeamArtail has finished uploading screenshots for the final few episodes, if anyone wants to check them out.
Listen, we've argued about who this "Nazo" character was so many times before. You wanna know who the real Nazo is? It is of course, Super Sonic!
Look at the above and below pictures and you'll know what I mean.
The blue on the right picture represents the shape of the quill based on the angles of what can be seen. The grey is what normal Sonic's back quills look like. The reason Nazo's quills turn up is because of the direction in which he is moving. You may notice that the quills are on his head are also facing up. Now, about the eyes. The blue indicates where there is shadow. The Nazo pic is simply a test of light and shading effects. So with the strange effects added the oart in bue in my pic shows that that area would be darkened and look more like an outline.
Also, this is from a very early prototype. Not all proportions of the character designs were complete. This scene was changed to be at night. The X Tornado was red at that point in development. The Sonic X logo lacked the "X". And the shading of backgrounds was done differently.
A problem - it appeared in the same promo video as Super Sonic, so it probably is something different.
Whatever the case, chances are we'll never know.
::coughnewseasoncough::
EXCUSE me. 🙂
Nah.. they didn't originally plan to have a new season when they made that so that wouldn't make sense.
You should see someone about that nasty cough 😛

However Eta, keep in mind that in the promo video, Sonic went super for about two seconds, and that happened when he got a ring (or whatever that solitary shiny thing was). So there was probably a beta "Sonic with ring" design (which became Super Sonic) and a beta "Super Sonic" design (which was eventually scrapped).
Just an idea.
But if that is Super Sonic, why didn't they have an episode with that footage of that "Nazo" Super Sonic?
Perhaps, Sonic X: The Movie?
Can anyone explain what is with this picture?
It's on the TV Tokyo website.
That's the picture they used the week before Episode 44 was due to air. Not sure why that's the one there now.
Um, is it me or doesn't any of Sonicanime.net's pages work except the homepage?
I think they are still working on their site.
Anyone notice that throughout the entire 52 episode run there was no a single original furry? We had new humans and new robots, but no furry's...
What type of characters would suit the Sonic X feel if the new series was set in Sonic's Universe?
Episode 18, there were a few original furries, were there not?
Anyway, it does make you wonder if there are a lot of furries in Sonic's world.
Ah, Hawk! I forgot all about him. Thanks for reminding me ^^;
Err.... you joke, yes?
I was referring to the bullies in Tails's flashback.
And Hawk is episode 17.
My bad.
Did I mention I only saw the first 9 or so episodes of mini-series 1. I only watched from there after ep 26. I'm no good at remembering numbers either. thought Knux Clenched Fist was 18 and I've only read summaries.
So yeah, I'm a-stupid
Are the small animals considered origial furries? Because they are in some of the episodes. And let's not forget about the Sonic 3D Blast flikies in episode 39. Now do you see what I mean?
Of course not, they appeared in the games, so they're not original characters.
By original, I meant created FOR Sonic X, as was pointed out, a couple of bullies is all we got unless you count that big purple thing...
Maybe series 2 will have some furries in it
What. You mean Big the Cat right? Of course. Ok then what about the Chaotix group?

I think he's talking about that Barney wannabe that scares the living crap outta me.

Yeah, that's the one.
And SonicXSonic, an original character means one who debuted in the cartoon. Such as Chris is original, Tanaka is original, Sonic is not original, Big is not. Get it?
So far they've made no new furry characters for the plot, I would have liked to see at least one.
If you look closely during the opening sequence (the first one, used for Episodes 1-26), you can spot some original furry characters. So presumably the location Sonic is running through is his own world.

I noticed that too. I think its near the bit where Sonic runs by Knuckles and Cream in that purple hover-car thing.
Just in case you don't know, The Tv tome website's Sonic X Section (In the notes for the Episode 52 Guide) states that Sonic's Japanese Voice Actor sent an email saying that there will be 26 more episodes, including a Sonic Heroes adaption! They do mention it could be a hoax though...

Doubt it dude.
Even if there was an adaption, they better give a whole lot of more info than Sonic Heroes did.
But with the show... it wouldn't work out.
Is Tikal one then?
If the story was fleshed out enough, a Heroes adaptation could work.
Quote:
Is Tikal one then?
No. Tikal debuted first in Sonic Adventure.
Umm... is anyone here taking into consideration that without a Sonic CD adaption, a Sonic Heroes adaption would be dry and give Metal Sonic's character even LESS motivation than the poor excuse for a character we were presented with in-game?
That said, if they dealt with Sonic Heroes in the same way they dealt with Sonic Battle (ie. Same concept, different story) I wont mind, as Sonic Heroes was NOT a story, just a bunch of stuff that happened and will never be resolved in future Sonic games.
Personally I was hoping they'd avoid it, for the sake of leaving Shadow dead.
I was thinking that too, Craig. What I think they could do, is have a Sonic CD and a Heroes Adaption merged into the one arc.
For example, at the end Sonic and Metal could race each other (as in CD), then after the Little Planet has disappeared (orignally appeared because of yet another Chaos Control) Metal Sonic could do the whole Metal Madness transformation.
Maybe the adaption could clear up some stuff about who the SH Shadow is, too...
Whoops, messed up this post, sorry...
I still think, and you can look back to the end of episode 52 to see I've thought this all along; the series should start with Sonic and Amy, now a happy couple, reminising on their first meeting. Sonic CD flashback!
The series should END with the Sonic Heroes adaption as a "everything comes full circle" bow out for the season. It would just work on so many levels!
What I hope if they make a new seris is to let Shadow STAY dead. I hate cheap deaths and he's so overrated, although I think it's the latter that is the reason why the producers might consider bringing him back if they wanted to. GAH!
~Neo
I doubt that, they made such a big deal about KEEPING him dead that they put his ghost in to seal the deal. Why go back on that?
Ratings.
Bah. CURSE YOU SHADOW!!! *Shakes fist at the sky*
One day the world will wisen up to your shallow SA1 Super Sonic recoloured model and cheesy clich backstory of angst!
How I despise you...
(NEXT WEEK on Crime Squad: Craig spends more and more hours drifting into insanity over his obsession to end the Shadow fanbase once and for all, leaving his (non-existant) marriage in shambles, his dog with one leg whimpering "I can make it on my own" and his mail unopenned!!!)
I have to admit, I like Shadow, although I have mixed feelings about letting him stay dead.
When I Play Heroes, I think "Yeah, Shadow's a pretty cool character, I'm glad he survived." But when I play the end of SA2, I think "This scene is pointless, as he has survived. Sure he did risk his life, but it means so much more if he actually gave his life for the planet.
Of course, Sonic X's Heroes Adaption, might have him being one of the many clones...
It's still not certain that the one from the game wasn't one of the clones aswell. You speak as if it's a proven fact that the real Shadow is the "star" of Heroes.
Yeah, I guess it's not. But from what I've heard, in Sonic Battle(taking place after Sonic Heroes) Shadow speaks of events connected to what happened in SA2, and I'm assuming the Battle Shadow and the Heroes Shadow are the same...

You forgot me, the lovable sidekick that annoys you every second with random questions and talking off my bizzare obsession with Psxy!

Around 50% complete
since I can't find the lyrics anywhere on the net
I have to do it myself.
----
For Information,
Sonic X has finished in France.
Episode 52 has the song "Natsu no hi"
and we can hear Sonic saying to Amy he loves her.
The song "Midori no Hibi" have been replaced by the ending song
of Sonic Adventure 2.

Can someone get Engish, and Japanese lyrics for Kotoba ni Dekinai, Natsu no hi, and Midori no hi. Please and Thank you.
Gah... I wish I hadn't deleted the episode 52 Bsub. That had the translated lyrics in it, karaoke style (both English and Japanese).
Anyone who still has the ep, could you please help out? Thanks
Did anyone type up the script for episode 51? If not, can someone please do so. Please and thank you.
The translation for Sonic's conversation with Chris is further back in the page, but as for doing a full episode script, I doubt anyone would. When I was doing them I'd watch the episode and type everything onto Notepad, some episodes took about 3 hours to do. It's a lengthy process and not overly rewarding either, now that all episodes are done, have been out a while and bootlegs are wide-spread.
Well then tell me, is Sonic in his world, or is he in Chris's world? I'm confused. I'm so very sorry.
Episode 50, they make the Stargate, everyone goes home, Chris shuts it off before Sonic gets in and they run off together.
Episode 51, the world is trying to chase down Sonic and Chris as if Sonic doesn't go home both worlds will be damaged. It ends with Chris advising Sonic to go home.
Episode 52, Sonic's world. Eggman is trying to get Sonic to return after a week of being missing (a day on Chris' world is a week on Sonic's), he returns via Chaos Control as Super Sonic and kicks Eggman's butt.
Thanks Craig Bayfield I know I can rely on you for good information. Thank you. *Gives a pat on the back*
