I'm so excited that they're FINALLY going back to the ol "SA" days...
The idea of the Adventure Worlds (or...what were they called) is back, which is SO awesome, since I thought that was really awesome. STATION SQUARE! And it also looks like, with the exception of Shadow (Eh, I'll just let my brother play him), there's no more stupid 'carryons', like Knuckles, Tails, or guns. GAH! And the graphics look so unbelieviable- it's like you're running around in a high-quality cutscene! HUZZAH!
Except Elise is really small. Really, really small o_o.
Oh, and Eggman is back to his old look too! That's also very awesome.
Just as long as it doesn't have Shadow's gameplay, it'll be THE PERFECT GAME.

I wonder if that's the true speed of the final game. I noticed that the textures are all fully in -- I see more details out of that Wave Ocean level than I saw before.

I got a laugh out of Sonic homing attacking with a princess in his arms. How on earth does THAT work?
Sonic: "With the princess in my arms, I can use both of our faces to destroy the robots!" I'm sure that was in the script somewhere.
Well look at this way, unlike other games with protection mission, you don't have to worry about Elise getting kill by enemies. Sure she might get dizzy from all the Sonic Spin but at least she won't die forcing you to start the stage all over again.
Edit- I didn't notice before but the Sonic Fan is wearing a helmet. I thought it was his hair.

Anyhoos, Sonic now officially IS 15, so it's no surprise that he's kinda tall now. Sonic was like, somewhere around 4 ft. tall, anyway (as Eggman is 6 ft.), so Elise masn't be that tall. I mean, 17 year olds can get pretty high up there, but Elise must just be average.
Elise is truly HOT, unlike most other chibis in the Sonic franchise. 'Course anyone who'd make fun of anyone who was short for her age would have to be a soulless dick.

On topic: With the all-new enemies coming around, and I mean like "all new" all new. Was there ever anything resembling those Xenomorph-esque guys before? Don't think so.
Guessing they must be fast. Expect the expected surprise for the enemies. However, I'm more concerned about the demon thingies. Egg bots are typical, but not these. What attacks they have, can really prevent an A-rank.
It's really surreal to watch those clips without any music, with only the BG ambiance.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that he took out an empty ring capsule and hit the robot with it. That sucks. Whatever happened to the Tail Whip or the good old Jump attack?
I think Tail Whip is still there since the other character seem to have more than one move to take out the enemies. Btw for those wondering about what was Sonic Man talking to Sonic about.

Edit- For those of you wondering about the custom moves, Sonic_Freak from Sonic Stadium took some pics of the demo on Xbox 360 UK tour. It seems Sonic throw a Sol Emerald to do a Light Dash Attack, Silver can stick to walls and Shadow can break dance.

The attack Tails uses, even though I didn't look at it closely, reminded me of his zap cannon-esque attack in Sonic Battle. If memory serves well, he took some time charging it.
And Sonic Man is awesome.
Is it a helmet, or did he sprinkle on some of that magical SONIKKU TONIKKU from the SA promotional video?

Aaaaaaanyway, that capsule is, like, probably an invention that he uses. Such as, it might cause a robot to automatically explode or something. Either that, or the capsule is just a mystery. @.@.

Spoilers (Select To Read): The script doesn't mention anything about the Sol Emeralds. In the story the 8th Chaos Emerald is in the heavens. This rainbow chaos emerald you can buy to get super is probably about as canon as Hyper Sonic. Seeing as you can buy all of the chaos emeralds as singular items to give Soniku, Shadeta and Sunks special powers this probably represents a what if you have all the emeralds at the same time.
Just saw a Sonic the Hedgehog commercial -- didn't get to catch all of it because I wasn't looking at the television, but the television marketing has definitely began!

If you must buy the 7 Chaos Emeralds, then it may (neigh, WILL) take a while to get the neccessary funds. Just great. First God makes hangovers, and now you have to pay money from some guy who miraculously found the 7 emeralds to save the world. Thanks for nothing, God.

Just watched that video. Whoa. So Ocean Breeze, has it been confirmed as a remade Emerald Coast. Because it really is.
Its Ocean Wave. They hired the same architect who did Emerald Coast. And its got a Killer Whale sanctuary.
PS3 Version won't make PS3 launch due to getting downloadable content ready. Its on IGN somewhere.

EDIT: All right, apparently there's going to be some type of special event in Tokyo, starting December 3rd (application deadline is November 24th). Sooo, if you magically live somewhere around Japan, go there and have fun.
There'll be a Sonic Collection Hall, where, I think, there'll be a large variety of old Sonic games to play. Also, there'll be talk shows, and probably other stuff that'll be of celebration for the 15th anniversary.
If you know Japanese, you can probably translate that stuff way better than I did.

Saw the commercial last night during WWE Smackdown. Actually I saw two of them.One had footage of Kingdom Valley,Ocean Wave and Crisis City while second one had footage of White Acropolis and what appear to be Dusty Desert at sunrise.

Speaking of which, can anyone confirm that the game still features real time like what we saw in the old Kingdom Valley demo where they speeded up the built in clock? And if so, does it change the levels in anyway depending on what time you play?
I didn't see anything mention on the guide(I took a quick peak at the guide so I can't confirm it) but Blackarms says there are some screenshots in the guide showing the stages in day, afternoon and night.
Those Sonic and Tails pics would be cooler if tails was giving Sonic that silly smile of his. He just looks freaked out.
Ah, yes. The so-called "Prower smile". Pretty silly, but it works.
Any screenshots of next-gen Prower smile would look so smoothly done, me thinks, that getting a 360 would be worthwhile (aside from Dead Rising).
Plus, the smile means the situation is not near hopeless.
I've played a lot of games where a guy is like "You cannot hope to defeat (insert bad guy's name here)", just to find out I'm capable of kicking his/her ass. It's just....like, some kind of let downer or something. Only small, but it, like, kinda lowers a bit of my morale. Anyone else get that feeling?
Some info on how the characters gameplay works: (Spoiler protected. Just in case ^_^)

Blackarms got the strategy guide to Sonic Next-Gen. Here's how all the characters play like.
Sonic- Mainly focused on speed, most enemies are avoidable (like past Sonic Adventure's) and sometimes the levels take control for you at a few points, though you overall have control.
Shadow- Though Shadow is about as fast as Sonic, his gameplay is foused more on battling. You can't continue some rooms until you defeat all of the enemies, and Shadow's Chaos Powers and Comandeers help him do this.
Silver- Silver moves slower than Sonic and Shadow, but his game is more focused on his powers and puzzles. Silver require more brain than Sonic and Shadow's game.
Tails- Tails gameplay is simlar to Sonic's, excpt he's slower and has an arsenal of machines to help him, like blasters and bombs. Tails can also fly, but most enemies are avoidable. Tails gameplay is mostly based around flying or shortcuts and using his gadgets to the fullest.
Knuckles- Knuckles is a hard hitter, and his attacks do quite a lot of damage, but most enemies are still avoidable. He can glide, and his combos are easer to control and to exacute with. Knuckles gameplay, though based on speed, has a more melee approach to it.
Rouge- Rouge gameplay is mostly focused on melee, though she can glide and avoid stuff such as security lasers easier than Shadow, there are still some enemies she must fight with her moves. She can fly, and has combos in attacks like Knuckles.
Omega- Omega plays simular to Gamma from SA, he has a lock on laser, but he also has up close attacks. Though Omega is slow, he is powerful. He can also fire missles, hurl enemies far away, and many more things.
Blaze- She is faster than Silver, but pretty slow compared to Sonic. The levels are still based on puzzles and her on unique fire powers, but she does combat with fire instead of phsycic powers, and uses her flames for lots of purposes.
Amy- Her levels are still based on puzzles, but she's got a hammer, and smashes through stuff instead of picking them up. Amy has the best offense out of Silver and Blaze, and combat isn't as much about brain power than brawn.

Now I got a really good feelng about next gen. All the characters fit in their places nicely.
