That would be pretty awesome, except for the fact that his voice is going to change. That would mean Tails would have to be replaced again and again... just look at "Hey Arnold." Part of its charm was that it used real kids, but they went through about five Arnolds while the female cast (Helga, for instance) stayed the same throughout. That's the reason many male children are voiced by women.
Yeah I found that out too. Nearly the entire cast of a lot of cartoons having to do with children are voiced by women. Anime and american shows alike. But Avatar won't be an on going show I figure. It's almost at its end. Just in time for Tyler to hit puberty lol. In fact I just read the wiki. The original VA for Tails (Corey Bringas' ) was replaced with William Corkery (Sonic Heroes) because his voice was starting to change. Bringas last time voicing Tails was in Sonic Shuffle
Then when Sonic X hit the scene Tail's VA was replaced AGAIN with Amy Palant. And what do ya know, A female VA lasts longer than boy!
4Kids have a habit for using girls for young boys voices. I mean, out all the main characters in pokmon, only Brock and James were voiced by a guy (The same guy too).
Anyway, if they really are replacing the VAs, I wonder what the chances are of bringing back Drummond and some of the old faces too?

Well we know for sure that Bringas won't be back sense he's all like...in his teens now. But I guess it would make sense for the other VA's to return. But oy, Knuckles' old VA sounded like he read straight off the card and nothing else. Ex.When he thought he saw a ghost in one of his levels in SA2. I can even give his 4Kid's voice actor more credit than the old one.
Someone in the mofo chat said that Knuckles' voice has gone from one extreme to the other. First he sounded totally un emotional. Now he sounds like he's been punched in the stomach.
In Sonic and the Secret Rings The 4Kids Entertainment voice actors may be used in this game, as Jason Griffith's voice was used for Sonic in a brief teaser trailer for the game. It was also heard during a gameplay movie of the Sand Oasis stage. However, in both the trailer and the gameplay movie, Sonic's lines were actually originally delivered from Sonic Riders, in which he says the same thing in both cases. The same line was also used in a recent trailer of Sonic the Hedgehog.

Is it just a coincidence that there is is fishing in Sonic Adventure but not in Adventure 2, Heroes, Shadow and Sonic Next and yet all those titles have been criticized for not being as good as Adventure?

While you're right, and some people did criticize the game, its initial reception was mostly positive. Over the years, opinion has declined, but generally the game is regarded as mediocre at worst. Great? Maybe not. But hardly "sucking out loud."

Besides, there are so few PS3s on the market that they probably don't consider a Christmas release a huge deal.

Silver does look like a fan character, and every one of those prototype designs is better than the official. The middle is sort of Metal Sonic-ish and my favorite is the one with tied back hair on the right, but it's a close one with the cyborg version.
Personally I think that the current Silver is some very good character design for a hedgehog, and I think he fits well-in with the overall cast.
I still wish they went with another animal. How many animal species are there? Someone needs a shot of creativity.
Would you have liked to have seen Silver as a mink? That was originally one of their ideas for him. Would have certainly made him original if they had went with it. But alas, they made him a hedgehog so they could re-use the Amy gag from Sonic Adventure 2. You know the one I'm talking about.

I thought everyone had seen those concept artworks when IGN put them up months ago. Well, it's nice to see them resurface because they are kind of interesting.
Silver should have been called a porcupine. That would have been perfect considering that porcupines have long tufts of swept-back hair above their actual spines, just like Silver. It's not just that we already have too many hedgehogs - it's that Silver's spine configuration is so different that he doesn't seem like a hedgehog compared to Sonic, Shadow and Amy with their fat quills (Amy's are actually kinda thin, but looking at them sideways they're big). Silver seems like a hedgehog-echidna cross, with his thin spines. Porcupine, dammit.
It's not a huge deal I suppose, but I'm a nerd when it comes to these things.

I'm tired of being a pessimist today...so I will give Sonic Team one compliment. If there is one thing Sonic Team can still get right...it's their soundtracks. Jun Senoue doesn't get enough credit for his work in SA and SA2. And I like the vocal Songs of Sonic '06.

The music in Sonic Robo Blast 2 is better than the forgettable shlock in post SA titles.

Hideki Naganuma is, in my opinion, the best game music composer out there. Any game he works on I have to get, cuz the music just drives me futher to beating the game.

I guess I'm weird but I don't find Whatever Hisnameis from Jet Set Future any good. It all sounds like crap some kid who just got a bootleg copy of Acid software would throw together. I've played Sonic Rush a lot and the only two songs that I can even remember is the one from Water Palace that sounds like "Louie Louie" and that songa at the end with the afro-gospel women singing...oh yeah and that music from the Special Stages that made me say "wtf" every time I heard it. "today's a new day"?...shut up
I'm just not impressed with him at all. It doesn't sound hip just trite and par for the course. Nothing stands out as something I'd sit and listen to on its own like I did (do) with Sonic2 and S3&K.
THEN again..I have been pretty spoiled by Castlevania the past few years so that might be why sonic music just ain't doing for me like it used to. It's hard to go back once you hear "Bloody Tears", "Heart of Fire", and "wiked Child" to go back.
If song titles such as Bloody Tears shows up in a Sonic game, then I'm just gonna have to quit.
Gamer TV reviewed the PS3 Version of Sonic (apparently). They fixed everything and its the greatest game Sonic game ever.

Seriously now, it got 3/5. Complaints about Sonic going too fast and the camera and unpredictable landings after Sonic jumping. Silver was fun to play as because he is slower and thus easier to manage. The most that I'm hopeful for is improved loading. They had about a minute of the Soleanna town stage. Sonic talked to a few people and *if* there was a notable loading time Gamer TV would normally parody it in a somewhat amusing way.
I liked the Billy Hatcher theme too.

i like quite a bit of the music from sonic, to the point where i sing along with the lyric'd songs happily.
I try to like all the Sonic music I listen to...there are few games where I don't like the soundtracks.
