"Maybe what he is trying to say is because he is fortunate enough that he doesn't play a lot of games made by competent programers, that he is even able to digest games that goes beyond vomit status? I don't know..."
I think you are melodramatic, but quite right.
I don't really mind, I'm usually doing twenty other things while playing a video game anyway, lol.
NOT like I'm defending the loading times, though >_>

Was SEGA intentionally trying to see how bad they could make a game and have it sell?
Maybe this game was made by people who hates video games as much as Beat Takeshi
LOL a Beat Takeshi video game... I'm intrigued. I'll download it, then play it for... probably about 1 minute, judging from the screenshot.
That's the first Kikizo review I've read and I doubt I'll read another, for every complaint is seems he's just covering the game's ass by comparing it to either another game (like San Andreas and especially Sonic Heroes) or by saying "It's cool to hate Sonic"...
That last line annoys the hell out of me, there's a reason people get upset about something, and it isn't because it's cool to hate Sonic, but because Sonic Team is one of the laziest developers currently working.
What does "Presentation" mean in the sense of this review?
I also hate it when people say "If you can overlook these flaws..." or worse add that, "...if you are a fan of this series you may enjoy this game." That's the same as saying that fans do not need to have any kind of standards in enjoying a game in their favorite franchise, or it's okay for fans to put up with the BS that hasn't been fixed since they are probably used to it. < >
How can they say Knuckles's gliding is good? Not only is it slow and poorly animated, but you can't defeat enemies by gliding into them, and instead you will use your rings, yet the instruction manual says Knuckles's glide knocks enemies out of his way. Just more proof of how badly rushed this game was, and another nail in the now firmly sealed coffin.

The storytelling itself is nothing remarkable but Sonic's interaction and relationship with humans in the game, chiefly the princess of Soleanna (would), is a welcome change for Sonic fans.
SEGA paid them off.
Either that, or they're being controversial just to get attention.
I played up untill that stupid on rails bit of the beach stage in my local GameStation.
Good lord, everything felt like I was playing with butter, even Tails' flying was out of whack.
The loading times are ludicrous too, and to have them mid level too is short of frustrating.
A four page review. Nearly all of it the same complaints we've all heard/made, and yet at the very end this person says "for every moment of satisfaction or achievement there are at least a couple of extreme frustration, but it quickly gets better and I don't see how fans can resist it...."
I wanna choke this guy.
I know the feeling, cheezit.
Shadow of a Hedgehog has the new soundtracks.
The game soundtrack pretty nice soundtrack and for the vocal soundtrack its a bit meh. The Dreams of an Absolution remix is great. Not so sure on the other two versions of His World.
But the good thing is they have put the E3 version (non lyriced) of the theme in the soundtrack.
Does anybody have that or know if it's on Shadow of a Hedgehog? They have other cutscene music.
"In His World" makes for an EXCELLENT instrumental. x3.
Oh, and I went back to Target yesterday to play the StH Demo again.. I just couldn't stand leaving it like I did a week ago - unfinished.
So I did, and I was happy to say I completed it with a "B". And it was much more fun the second time, speccially without my nagging brother saying "OhH, this game SUCKS. All the reviews on the internet say it SUCKS." <i die> "THIS GAME SUCKS. I hate it it's so stupid!"
So, with a positive and unrestricted attitude, I may attest that
I ENJOYED THE GAME.
I am certain that somewhere out there, in the vast realms of the internets, there exist people who enjoyd Shaq Fu.
Make of this what you will.
Liking bad games isn't a new thing. Heck, I know some people who've enjoyed drek such as The Legend of Dragoon.

I want the full version of the instrumental that plays at the beginning of Sonic's ending cutscene, where he's jumping in the air.
Doesn't exist. It is ripped from the 45 sec non lyriced bit of His World.
But the flamenco version of His World is nice. Its on Disc 2 under Result.
Something tells me the game would be enjoyable if, you know, it was finished...
does any one know any good places to download the music, like say to a psp?
to Elias: yes!, finally some one that appreciates this game
Can't you just simply download the mp3s from the site that was provided and save them to your memory pro duo?
Yo, does anyone know if there is a version anywhere out there of "Sweet sweet sweet" WITHOUT that SOB Akon in it?
It's such an awesome song, but then he has to come in with his nasal voice an @#%$...

Are you sure? The guitar sounds very different, and deeper, and the effect is much more pleasing, while the E3 version is quite shrill by comparison. Maybe that's just Youtube's compression, but the difference seems very big. Can the people who have the game confirm if it sounds different on Youtube? That would explain the placement of the E3 theme on the disc, though, since they seem to be in chronological order.
To get a good version of Sweet Sweet Sweet, go with Sonic 2 or the original vocal version by Dreams Come True, which I'm sure can be downloaded somewhere and is indeed very good. Oh and shoot AKON.
I like the Crush 40 version of "His World"...but that's because I like John Gioelli's singing voice.
I meant on the original version of Zebrahead's His World, about 3 minutes in there is the instrumental bit.
I have to admit, they did give Mephiles some cool creepy music for his cut scene appearances. The for his boss music they gave his music that is unrelated to said cut scene appearances.
I haven't played the game, but I've listened to the music, and I really like Mephiles' boss themes. The His World instrumental is pretty sweet, too.

Can you link to it or give directions on how to find it? I don't see it on the 3 discs and the Zebrahead on the Vocal Traxx CD doesn't have much instrumental.
OK it's the Ali Tabatabaee & Matty Lewis version
Too bad the instrumental is only as long as what's in the video (if they could tell it was the best part and put it in the ending, why didn't they make more?). I'd like to hear a long version, like the E3 song, with these instruments and extra notes.
Got the game the other day, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. =3
Silver was fun to control, and so is Shadow. =3
I like how the three character's plots intermingle the way they do. The story is a bit epic, too, I might add. I enjoyed it as much as Sonic Adventure 1's. The control's at first, were a bit different to get used to, but after my first game over on Wave Ocean, I picked it up really quickly. =3
This game is also challenging, because the only way I'll die is during a level, and when I usually think I can't go on, like Silver on Aquatic Base - and then I realise something that was stupidly easy and right in front of my eyes.
I love most of the music that has been used in this game, though I do prefer playing it with my own music, but some have caught my attention, mainly the "Results" song, when a level is completed. I love that.
This was a better game then everyone made it out to be. =3
w00t ^.
Glad to hear such a kickass review!
I got some questions =P:
Out of the 3, which did you enjoy playing the most?
Which level at the best music?
Was the sensitive controls too much of a problem?
How easy is it to get an "A"?
wow. sudden random burst of curiosity o_o.
1) I enjoyed playing as Shadow the most, because of the homing spin and then the combo attack which followed.
2) I can't exactly answer that one, because well, I listened to my own music =P
3) It was only a slight problem, one which was highly over-reacted, at least IMO.
4) It's slightly harder - the trick is not to die on the levels, some of which can take up to more than 10 minutes because of their length.
Overall I've enjoyed what I've played so far.
Glad to hear such a positive review!
Fixed. You didn't want a good review, there've been dozens of those so far. What you wanted to hear was that this game isn't the steaming turd that is actually is.
Uh, I meant the same thing.
"Kickass" and "Positive" are syninyms (Totally SP)
Thanks for answering, SS ^_^

Yeah, some of the levels are WAY too long. I wouldn't mind the lengths if the level designs on a technical standpoint (they're visually beautiful), were better.
Which do you die more from: Level Design, Controls, or the Camera? I think if there wasn't so many pitfalls, the game would already be 2x better. I LOVE Aquatic Base because of its usual solid grounding. I feel like I can at least be somewhat creative and mess around without the fear of dying.
I own this game for 360 but have yet to bbuy a 360 and now the box is staring into my soul taunting me and i cant afford the 360 for a while. Ah sorry about the random outburst can anyone tell me why gamesplot gave it a 3.0 no game deserves that (except bomberman zero)
They gave it a 3 because it's a lousy game.
GameSpot gave the game a 4.4 - and made their reasons explicitly clear.
Everyone has an opinion that we must accept.
Unless it involves the murder of innocent people ^_^.
SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2006 WILL KILL YOU!!!
Well i disagree as far as a Sonic Game this looks great the only problem i think it has is the loading time and multiplayer is a little messed up but i still will enjoy playing this game.
Still haven't managed to get to play it yet, and what I've heard isn't too encouraging. I'm gonna get it and form my own opinion, but, hey- there's still Secret Rings to hope for, right?
righ right RIGHT hopefully it wont be a major let down i have a wii and am looking forward to it but i still think S2006 got way too harsh critisizm it does not deserve a 4.
Good sir, I have had the distinct misfortune of playing this sorry excuse for a game and can respectfully inform you that, yes, this steaming heap of vomited dogsh*t indeed does not deserve a 4, rather it deserves to be cast into the ninth circle of hell to be used as Satan's crotch-loofa for all eternity.
Everyone has their own opinion on what makes a good game and what makes a bad game.
What we should do is make an UN-biased chart of the pros and cons of the game, and have people look at it and decide whether or not this game is worth it to them.
And NO, cons cannot be "VAs suck" or "Game itself sucks", it has to be factual info, like "Slow loading times", "Glitchy controllers" or "Great Scenery" or something like that.
Since I haven't played it, I wouldn't know.
People who HAVE played it, make your charts now -
And to people viewing them, make sure that if you come across a biased chart just skip it since it isn't worth your time.
^___^
It's not possible to be unbiased. Yes, what makes a game great for one person will make it horrible to another. I definitely agree with that. However, what is "great" or even "glitchy?" Adjectives such as those are very debatable and up to personal preference at the end of the day.
True, true.
Well, how about just trying to be not too biased-
Using words as "Super Amazing" or "Horrible terrible.", I s'pose.
I've had the game since Christmas and I'm only asking this now. Does anybodies CG cutscenes in the game look as if they have a kind of jumpy and laggy framerate? I remember some previous Sonic games have that, if they're not set to 60Hz, but mine is. Any solutions?
Porbably your game as my copy and my friends is perfect but Sonic Riders on X box nearly all had some form of lag OH GOD NOT AGAIN.
I've noticed that the PS3 version still hasn't come out. I'm hoping and praying that the extra time spent with it was used to fix the glitches and the load times. The only thing better would be to get rid of the villagers and town square alltogether.
Eh, the town stages and the villagers were some of my favorite things about the game; I mean I loved the adventure fields in SA so it figures I loved the Town Stages.

Well actualy the PS3 version comes out today so we shall see if they fix the problems.

The PS3 version in Japan has all the same problems found in the X360 version. Who knows if that they actually bother to fix the U.S. PS3 release in a month.
i doubted they would make any changes (although its so the most obvious thing to do) im losing faith in sega and sonic team....Im going to go and cry in the corner.
