Someone stated that the eggman statue in Haunted Castle turns into a Metal Sonic one if you flip the level upside-down.I never paid attention plus I sold Heroes so can someone post a pic of this please?

It is one of the COOLEST things in the game. Actually, if you look closely there are little Metal Sonic hints all over the game, but sega advertising ruined the surprise by announcing the game as the PROUD return of metal SOnic...
Not only was it NOT a surprise, we were all expecting more than we got. A loose loose situation there...

Okay the Metal Sonic statue thing is true?! well I need to borrow heroes right away!
I played through Hang Castle as Team Sonic just to see this, and if you mean the one at the end when you're hitting all the flags, it stays as Eggman (at least for me) so I need to see proof of this too.
It does turn into a metal Sonic statue. When you go up to the thing as team Sonic, Sonic will say "Eggmans got some serious problems. Look at that statue!" look very closely at the dark bottom end of the statue and you can see metal Sonic. When you flip the switch, the castle will flip upside down and metal Sonic is shown. He has flames as his pupils in his eyes and the breakable door at the end of the poles is in his stomach. It's pretty obvious as the camera does tend to zoom on the statue as you're being twirled around on the poles.
sounds like a glitch too me.
Do you even know what a glitch IS? This most definitely isn't one.
I can't believe so many people didn't notice it. It's about as subtle as a hand grenade in a bowl of oatmeal.
Then again, before I came here I didn't realise the CNZ barrel was a problem to so many...

I must be blind. I not only failed to notice it. But I've specifically replayed with intent to see it and have failed.
I must have a cursed disc which prefers to keep Eggman vain and simple.
Seriously, someone get just a quick snapshot of where we're supposed to look. I'm starting to feel left out ;.;

Edit: Forgot how huge Heroes' levels are. Just do this...
- Reach the statue. Sonic will comment about it.
- Jump + Thunder shoot to open the switch up. Activate it.
- Look at where the statue was.
As said before, it's very hard to miss. Impossible, even. Very very small possibility that it's only in the PS2 version, but I know Craig has the PS2 version too so meh.
Gezz. I't not even an easter egg or anything, it's plane as day.
and ditto about the CNZ thing.

I never realised that the bottom half of the statue was Metal. From what others had said I expected the statue itself to become Metal.
Now I feel (and look) stupid

I mean, you could produce epic, structured diatribes about the nature of the ultimate life form and suchlike (carefully dissected and studied, as one might probe an alien body for The Truth) and you didn't notice a huge golden Metal Sonic statue? I mean, it's right there. Were your TVs on? Did you all suddenly get something in your eye, or turn away to reprimand an annoying sibling? I must know the answers to this web of mystery.

Heck, I only had the game for, like, a week, and I got far enough to notice it first time through. S'not like we ALL missed it.
