Having looked up Tails' Tornado on Google, I found out that there is actually a fighter jet called the Tornado. As of right now, it is currently in service in Europe and Saudi Arabia. What I want to know is if anyone can picture Tails flying this plane?

Reminds me of the Hyper Tornado from Sonic X 52-78. I could picture tails at the controls.

They should've had Tails flying that instead of the X-Tornado. If Tails were at the controls (perferably the ADV version), then who would be in the backseat? I'm thinking either Sonic or Chris, but I want to know that you think.

That sounds really familar, but I can't remember where I have read about it. I have a ton of books on airplanes, and there are A couple I could see tails in. Of course they should just give him an F-22 Raptor. :D

WTF? @ bump

Although I'm not exactly letting it die. >>

Meh. I don't think they'd let Tails (or anyone) fly a REAL plane for the same reason they don't use lisensed bands. They'd have to pay more. =P

In Sonic Drift 2, Tails used a Lotus S7 as the Whirlwind S7, making it a licensed brand.

Just add the twin-tail insignia on the tailfin

I like to see Tails pilot an F-15 lookalike.

I should have done this on my last post. These are of my favorite version of the Tornado (the one I can see Tails flying in), the Tornado ADV (Air Defence Variant)

These are of the Interdictor Strike (IDS) version. The Electronic Combat and Recon (ECR) version looks identical to the Tornado IDS.

It should be noted that during "Red Flag" excercises, the Tornado ADV excelled at acceleration. Acting as the aggressors, Tornado pilots "crashed through" allied defenses to "shoot down" the AWACS radar plane. Also, the Tornado has defeated Belgian F-16s and F-18s in air-to-air combat.

The Tornado. The TORNADO. >>

So there's an actual plane with the same name.

Point?

Oh and play Ace Combat 5 sometime.

If I wasn't going with the namesake, here are other planes I could see Tails in...
P-61 Black Widow
MiG-3
Grumman F3F
F-14D Super Tomcat (a reference to Sega Afterburner)
F-15E Strike Eagle
Su-32 Strike Flanker
YF-12 Blackbird
Tu-160P Blackjaack (interceptor variant)
F/A-18F Super Hornet
MiG-31M Foxhound-B
A-6 Intruder (Flight of the Intruder)

...

Tails is SO much more suited for the Su-35 Super Flanker.

That and Tails isn't a fighter jock in the first place.

Except for SA1.

So, In conclusion...

*cries because you suck*

Why the Su-35? I'd go with the Su-47 in that sense...

However, if I were going with a more "retro" look (reflecting the old biplane) here is a more detailed list in this sense...

Grumman F3F
Focke-Wulf Fw190
Curtiss SBC Helldiver
MiG-3
Il-2 Shturmovik
P-61 Black Widow
FR-1 Fireball
XP-81
A-1 Skyraider
F7F Tigercat

The Su-47 is ugly. It handles well but it's...ugly. o.o

That and Su-35s actually exist in service.

Say, shouldn't this be SPA?
