maybe you can answer a question i have, in single player, is it true that you play as a premade character? or do you make your own character like PSO?
Why wouldn't we have a PSU role call on the South Island board?
IT fits either place Ashide. It IS a PC game too, I'll shadow it if its really bothering people THAT much. :p
Hypershadow. It's both.
Single player is a traditional RPG. On chapter 4 you unlock what I'm told is basically an offline version of online play, complete with the character creator.
Basically you have online almost MMO-ish game. You have the standard premade RPG game. And you have the unlockable custom offline game that I haven't gotten to yet.

I intend on getting the PC game, so long as my system can handle it, but since it isn't out in Europe yet I'll have to wait...
i've no money and my computer isn't good enough to run the game, so i'll have to miss out on this.
which is really annoying.. *hopes she can find a shop playing it as a demo or something, just to see what it's like*
I'm defintely getting this for the 360, as I'm not much of a PC gamer.
And I kinda missed the one on Dreamcast years ago, and all those which have came out since... u_u So, yeha, I'm looking forward to getting it this time around.

I'm not Astrid and it is a Sonic Team game first. 🙂
Also, I'm disappointed that you will have to pay $10 to play the online portion of the Xbox 360 version. If that's the case then I rather get the PS2 version seeing that it share the same severs as the PC version and not closed like the Xbox 360.
i don't get why it's coming out on the PS2, as that seems to have more problems running games when compared to the gamecube. oo; (well, based on what people have said when comparing sonic games on both consoles)
plus all my previous PSO games have now all appeared on the gamecube, seems a shame there's no version for that console as well.
PS2 and PC are going to be gutted by the cheating community, regardless of any safeguards ST might have implemented. Xbox 360 might be the superior option with its better secured servers (but how much better?), unless you're like me and have little interest in the online mode.
PS2 would be on the lower end of this console generation's graphical ability. However, the game was being developed first as a PS2 exlusive so it should run reasonably well.
Also, there is a much larger user base and a better online system on the PS2 than the GCN.
I'm a PS2 PSUer.
Look for me as Katie, a cute little force who has created a group called the "Star Stormers."
it just bugs me due to the gamecube already having an established PSO fanbase.
But is that established fanbase is large enough to be profitable for Sega or even still exist? A lot can happen in four years for a console that never carried out an online place at all and is pushed into last place in the marketshare/mindshare.
Aside-Astrid, lawl. I blame you two for naving like names.
Anyway. I'm messing around with three characters now. Toby, Rico, and Sparky.
Unfortunately if you get the 360 version you will only be able to play with 360 users. Xbox live and its s**ttyness I'm guessing. PC and PS2 play on the same servers though.
So I'll be on the lookout for Katie. I'm still a n00b level 8 though. And if you're Force you're either determined or already high level. XD
Level 14 actually.
And I usually play in Universe 10, FYI.
I'll get the PC version when it coems out in PALstralia sometime in November. I just hope my PC can handle it, because it's hard to find a PS2 network adaptor here and I really don't want one anyway.
I thought about the Xbox 360 version, since it'll be the better looking one, but ultimately I don't want to listen to some 12 year old screaming and crap when his mum wont bring him chocolate milk.
Truth be told, PC version is just as graphically inferior because it's made to work with the PS2 version. So I think it'll work on lower end systems. By november Chay should be able to make you some badass weapons.
Big them with the PC version. Before you install update your video and network card drivers (motherboard drivers if it's onboard), and shut off all firewall/anti-virus/anti-spyware stuff. The patcher is a VERY picky eater.
And ok, universe 10. I usually wander around 2 but thats just because that was what it was on when I installed it. I'm 10 now, Just look for the short blond furball with big ears.

I need my friggin ps2... One more week rico... one more...
I think I saw Katie awhile back. Fired a card but I was in a hurry on SW runs.
And speaking of Astrid. I saw a big chic named stumbleina by Linear Line yesterday. rofl.

you can make animal-like characters in PSU? wow, i knew they were considered for the origional pso.. shows how little i know of this new game. ^^;
*hunts in her PSO artbook some more, wishing she could read japanise* there's some HUmar bird-people designs here too.
Yeah, beast race. It's more like human's with dog-like noses and furry ears.
