When it came out I bought Sonic Heroes for the PS2...
I didn't havea Gamecube back then and I wanted to try it, unforutnately the PS2 i hitched up to a rubbish 50Hz TV meaning the problems with graphics were accentuated....
Recently, whilst trying to buy Resident Evil games I found an offer which bundled in SH with another game I wanted at very little extra, so I thought why not get it fior myself now that my brother has the PS2 meaning I cant go on it, and wow, has playing the GC version made me reappraise it.
besides the 100% improved graphics, lack of a doubltap glitch hich made changing characters amazing, the controls are MUCH tighter.
Although the game is still nowhere near the levels of SA2 for completeness, or SA1 for class, it still stands up as a very great game. I'm replaying it now and loving it.
It may not be a great game, and Metal Sonic and Robotnik are both wasted criminally, but there are moments of pure genius in there. Parts of the game are brilliant, the problem is the flow, or lack of it.
Replaying the game on an improved format really made a difference for me....
