Probably because there are more films that may seem similar to Disney, but aren't Disney. Like Troll in a Central Park, for example.
Little wonder it seemed like a Disney trailer. That totally sounded like Jim Cummings narrating.
I've never played the original NiGHTS, and the trailer definitely piques my interest. It looks like a lot of care was put into making the game. I just hope it doesn't end up being more than meets the eye like Sonic '06.
*looks at the trailor with music* In my opinion the music brightens it up 10 times more. I wonder what Journey of Dreams music will sound like.

In a slightly related news: I unlocked NiGHTS (as well as Ulala and AiAi) on Riders two nights ago.
Hah. Journey of Dreams will feature all the Soul Train slow jam favorites.
Look like the Will and Helen will have their own stages and abilities out side of NiGHTS.

I've been only glancing at this topic, and haven't actually posted anything yet. I haven't played the original (don't own a Saturn). And I would just like to say this is such a turn-around for Sonic Team. The odds of this sequal ever happening were slim. I wonder what made them finally give in? ^.^
NiGHTS was always an overlooked game when it came out. Had a small amout of fans, that still cried for a sequal. With this, things have been getting better for NiGHTS. The rumors and hoaxes for this have finally turned into trues, and announced. With a Wii motion sensor, that perfeclty suits NiGHTS's gameplay, will probably make the game's experince feel more realistic.
With all of the above said, i'm just hoping that the current SEGA isin't going to turn this into the trend that Sonic games have been getting lately.

Er, yeah... I thought Nintendo had this thing about not allowing third-parties to include Wi-Fi in their games?
Isn't the Wi-Fi just that thing about letting the game communicate with the Wii's weather channel and having it match the outside weather?
Yea I believe it is the weather channel thing. Besides SRA is using Wi-Fi, or so they say, so maybe Nintendo is opening the door. *shrugs*

Discuss! (I like the idea of the level, myself. Though I'm still boggling over the TV bit in the article... are they supposed to represent something? And here I was taught as a kid-- that watching too much TV was bad.)

I always wanted to play NiGHTS when I was younger and never got around to so this makes me even more excited to get my hands on this; especially after reading more and seeing those sexy screenies 
Also, regarding the TVs; this is proof once more that your parents are evil and ultimately want to watch you suffer o.od

Ahaha, NiGHTS has a something of an accent.
I'm pretty... content with the voice, actually. I was worried about it being too deep or too high pitched or just not right. But this voice works out decently. (I'll admit, when I first heard it I just kinda stared at the screen in a daze-- unsure of how I was supposed to feel about it. After a few hours of rolling everything over and over in my head, I finally settled on finding the voice a lot better than it could've been. D)
The music is A+ though. There were no second thoughts on that. (Ah~ and the sound effects!)

Thank god! They're actually going to finish a game instead of rushing a broken one to market for a change (ALA Sonic 2K6).
I do love this: Normally when the powers that be delay a game, people whine a lot, but because of the poo storms that the recent Sonic games have been and by extension Sonic Team games, delays are treated like the second coming of Jesus.
Well if it does come out in November I'll have to choose either mass effect (wich is planned to come out in Nov.) or nights. I don't think I'll have the money for both, and I don't think I'm prepared to say no to mass effect.
If I could obtain that plushie...I could die happy.
...I've been avodiing this thread and many other NiGHTS related ones... And I just had to peek in... And I do want. This is not a case of 'Hey, this game looks good. I should get it."
This is a case of "I need this game to continue my very existance.". The voice. The Reala. The story. The music. Everything. I want and need this game.
