Not a real long one, but interesting none the less.
I also found a short biography on him:
Wow that really does say how much of a rush job SA2 was when compared to SA1.
OT - I wondered if anyone knows who voiced who in the Sonic Adventure series for the english version. I didnt really want to make a whole new topic for something quite minor.
Thanks in advance.
Ryan Drummond - Sonic
Steve Brodie - E102 Gamma + President + GUN Poilot
Dreem Bristoe - Eggmna
Scott Dreier - Knuckles SA2
David Humphrey Shadow
Corey Bringas - Tails
Jennifer Douillard - Amy
Lani Minella - Rouge/Omochao
Moriane Angeline
Michael McGaharn - Knuckles SA1
Elara Distler - Tikal
Marc Biagi
Sue Wakefield
Shelly Fox
?Jon St John - Big
yay sonic cult! thats the reason their number one!
Deem Bristow is Eggman, not Steve Brodie. You have their credits mismatched.
I haven't completely confirmed it, but I'm almost certain it's also:
Scott Dreier - Knuckles (SA2)
David Humphrey - Shadow
You can add that Michael McGaharn was Knuckles in SA and Elara Distler was Tikal. I think Jon St. John was Big but I'm not certain yet.
the interview says Drummond did knux in sa2
...next time:

Only Sonic. The folks at Sega didn't really want me lending my voice to any other character, just to concentrate on being the best Sonic I could be! The only exception to this rule was made for SONIC SHUFFLE, where I also did the [voice] of Knuckles.
He did Knuckles' voice in Sonic Shuffle (which I knew long ago anyway from an old interview that The Floating Island--that website shutdown long ago though--did with Ryan Drummond, it also did one with Lani Minella).

Funny, I thought the voice acting was a lot better in SA2. Scott Dreier's take on Knuckles was much more fitting than Michael McGaharn's, each of the original VA's had improved (Well, besides Amy and Tails's...), and the new ones they hired weren't bad(Acctually, I think David Humphrey was the only new VA, but I did enjoy his work on Shadow).
That's all IMO of course.
I was talking about the lip synch (can I spell?) and i should have made that more clearer. The only time i actually didnt like the V-O's when they were speaking far too quietly. eg Eggman when stealing the Master Emerald
Having seen a few shots of Lani doing Rouge's voice in Heroes, and Vectors VA, i find it absurd the VA's are given no visual stimulation whatsoever. It really is just a list of lines with small prompts like (angry, while chewing).
So yeah, don't expect much from Heroes VA's again. I think the Panzer Dragoon series and maybe Burning Rangers have had the only decent Sega voice-talent work put in.
And the Panzer Dragoon games don't even have English dub versions. ^_^ All the better I say.
Although it greatly annoys me that the Japanese track isn't available on the English version of BR (probably due to disc space) I will agree that the English version is very good in a genericy kind of way, albeit with some weird survivors.
Well you had to expect the survivors to have less decent VA, as getting a hundred or so individual VA's wouldve been a bit over budget ;P
I refer more to the animated cutscenes and ingame dialogue before the age of 3d models mouth movement.
You can get away with dubbing anime without watching the tapes, as mouth movements are limited to 3 different frames, so its simply a case of matching the timing. However, you cannot get away with that when Its a 3d model speaking.
The VA's would be infinitely better if the game was made first and THEN they dub it. But hey, this is Sega-Sense, so we shouldnt expect much.
I agree with Dash, the VA's were better in SA2, but am I the only one who thought Tails had a GOOD VA for that? I believe Amy was a lot better in SA1, and Knuckles had a more fitting VA, but perhaps not as...well, stylish as the artwork shows him as.

but panzeer games were all bad and not fun at all, they should have spent more time on the important games like Sa and SA2
but panzeer games were all bad and not fun at all,
can you back up that bash with a reason though?
Never played any of those games but I plan to. I DO love Sonic, but Segas other projects ain't bad at all.

Molaster, read and follow the rules.
*points at sig*
I was under the illusion that Panzer Dragoon Saga, being one of the greatest Sega titles of all time sells for $100+ a hit on ebay for a reason. Oh well, your opinion Molaster.
In terms of voice acting quality, the Panzer series has always been miles ahead. Its the most intellectual of Sega's franchises.
I suppose I have to reserve judgement for the moment, but the VA in the SA series has been far from 'quality', and for such an important release for Sega, I wouldve expected the dubbing process to be looked at and re-adjusted.
Indeed, 'tis a shame about that. Okay, Sonic's main selling point has never been the presentation of the story, but they could at least put a little effort in so it doesn't seem so half-arsed.
I'm just ashamed I only ever managed to get the first disc of Panzer Dragoon Saga (free 'demo' with OSM) but from just that I could tell it 0wnz0r3d. If I see a reasonably cheap copy on eBay (and if I ever have money) I might just invest in a copy.
And now, back to the topic...
RE Well, besides Amy and Tails's...)
What is wrong with Amy and Tails', voices ?
I personally think Tails' voice matches perfectly with him. I also think Amy's voice matches her too. I mean its a little off sometimes but it matches. Some people even complain about Ryan Drummond's, voice for Sonic. Why ? I think all the voices match with their character. But thats just me.
