I saw target's version of Sonic and the secret rings had a bonus DVD with I think comic book covers?
Anyone know if its worth it? I bought the game new for $20 but if that dvd "exclusive' is any good to pay the extra $10 I would at target?
It's a short story written by Ian Flynn which is basically an intro to the game. 12 pages, or something. It's good but not worth getting a copy of the game for it. I'm pretty sure there'd be a site out there somewhere that would have screenshots or something.
I've actually been looking for said screen shots, Matt. It's supposedly free, so posting them online is not really illegal. Right? I'm not sure, as one does have to purchase the game in order to obtain it.
I have the screenshots saved on my computer. If one of the mods can confirm I'm not going to be breaching any rules by uploading them, I'm happy to share.
If its just a screenshot it'd be ok, as long as you don't post a DVD rip, and even that might be allowed since its only an "extra".
My question wasn't answered though, so is it just a comic book based on the game on the dvd and not from the archie series? and is it worth it?

Specifically, it's based on the games' universe, and it's only worth if you are some hardcore collector of Sonic merchandise.
Whether the DVD's free or not, it's still copyrighted material (and it's still easily available over the counter, at that) - so yes, posting it's illegal.
