On the SOA Boards someone posted a topic that there is a sequel to ShTH in production, check over there for yourself to see because I am too lazy to give a link..
Please give your thoughts..I believe the pic is fake but the magazine scan looks so well done (if its fake)
it is so obviously fake, it hurts; though, I would like a Shadow sequel if they didn't make him choose evil or good seeing as how he's definitely a good guy now.
Heh, those kidders.
I saw the subject title, assumed it was a fan idea, felt a few moments of panic when I saw the article, and then read it and felt much better.
Crisis averted.
Heh heh, Redemption. What a silly name.
Who ever made that hoax seems to be a fan of Penny Arcade.
Although they could have also used the term "murder porn" in the article.
Well, let's see what it says, just for the helluvit.
I'mml ignore the readable part, and just go for the fun part on the right.

So, what could this say? Hmmm...
Among other things wrong with the world (of which there are
more than one,) we found that Shadow now likes doors. He
opens up a lot of them throughout this adventure. Why?
Shadow must do it because he WANTS to, since it's that
or complete a yoga competition with Naka. Makes him wish the
targetting system was more competent, but still. Anywho,
Shadow must open all the doors, including one that leads
through a man's inner feelings. We think it's the GUN dude.
And, in case you forgot, this screenshot is a mock-up. The
engine has seen no improvements. At all. All this new, great
technology and they squander it? We don't know how Sega can
keep up and continue putting out this stuff. Maybe they're
licensing another game from Monolith? Sadly, that info
we require, you must supply it for us. For great justice.
lol
Almost fell for it.
Actually, the pic doesn't look half bad. Better than whatt we got with Shadow the Hedgehog, at any rate.
Yeah... it almost looks like someone's pinched a background shot from another game, and then just pasted Shadow onto it.
And yet, it looks surprisingly like SA2....
Doesn't that AUTOMATICALLY give it a lead on ShTH in the graphis department?
The article says:
Quote:
"We chose the name 'Redemption' because that's what we hope to do with this game." And it's not just a metaphor for the game's design philosophy, either. It plays a big role in the gameplay, too. Returning for a second round is the original's innovative "Good vs. Evil" mechanics, which allows Shadow to shape his own future depending on his actions.
(that's where this column ends, the new column starts under the Shadow artwork, ripped from the Sonic Channel)
Among other improvements is Shadow's ability to carry more than one weapon at the same time. "This really opens up a lot of possibilities for us in puzzles, where Shadow must use a specific type of gun to open a door or complete a puzzle," Iizuka notes. In a level we saw, Shadow must fire a rocket launcher and guide a missle through a maze, like a mission in Metal Gear Solid. And, in case you didn't already notice, the graphics engine has seen a substantial increase, as well. "As technology advances, we've found it more difficult to keep up and maintain a steady budget. So now, we're licensing another engine. It provides us with the features we require, with very little turn-around time. It's been invaluable."
All this leads up to a game that, by the looks of things, is already shaping up to be leaps and bounds over it's predecessor. But even then, given Sonicteam's current track record with the franchise, can we really get our hopes up? "I understand it seems we've betrayed a lot of Sonic fans out there. I'd like them to know that we're sorry, and we hope that you'll give our new game a chance. We're working harder than ever on it." Redemption, indeed.
I'd link you to my Sonic Stadium forum topic on the rest of the hoax, but their forums are down, currently, and I'm too lazy to copy and paste the rest here.
Is this game real or not?
Of course not. >_>
You never cease to amaze me, Lighty =O
LOL! You made that Shadow model yourself, Lighthead.
^_^
"WHEW!!"
It's too late for april fools man!! That topic scared the hell outta me!
Nah, it's Sega's model this time around. 😛
As someone who has phobias about both blood AND sharp, poimty objects, I must say that is REALLY disturbing.
The big giveaway was the picture caption.
SMOLDERING WITH GENERIC RAGE!!!
if it is real, for the platforms it would have said the nex gen consoles instead of xbox,gc,and ps2. sony has confirmed launch for the ps3 before thnx giving and revolution soon behind.
They ARE still making games for those consoles...
Believe it or not, it's cheaper to make them and they arent exactly underpowered, just not top of the range anymore.
Anyone remember how many years it took the PS1 to die? Ages...
Yea really PS1...I think might still be going actually. O_0
GBA games are still coming out. And most of them are really good. As for the PS1, I think it finally died as soon as the PS3 was officially announced. Oo Oh well.
"Nah, it's Sega's model this time around. 😛 "
(Kinda looks like the Heroes/Shadow 3D model)May I ask what program you used to create that piccy with?
I haven't played Shadow the Hedgehog 1 yet, (my video store doesn't have it for rental) so I'm kinda relieved to know it's a hoax.
Heh, "smoldering with GENERIC RAGE" something sounded silly about that anyway.
Okay, Harley, this one is, in fact, a hoax.
Hmm... what was that in response to, anyway?

Because when the last Shadow game was announced Harley kept saying it was a hoax.
Do you have a link to the pages Harley said that in?
Just go through the Shadow game topic... it's somewhere there, towards the beginning.
Yeah, if it wasn't eaten by the EZHack!
And I'm pretty sure it goes on throughout more than half of the Shadow topic, too. Well, at least the 'IT'S A HOAX!!!1' joke does. @ Erika & Rayzor
Not to mention half the board. Where did that flaky cat run off to anyway. There isn't enough sex in the RP room.

And I keep wondering why there aren't any G-rated movies any more....
Trust me, it really is an hoax. I know who did it, the background comes from GTA if my souvenir is correct.
... I was referring to the post before mine....
I was well aware it was a hoax.
..Or were you not talking to me?
Thank God it is a hoax D:
This bump served no purpose.
Alright, I'm putting this topic out of its misery.
