No, they don't HAVE to, I'm just thinking that if the team developing this game hasn't included a mute option in their past Sonic games, and that their game doesn't seem to fix a lot of the major complaints from their PRIOR game, then it'd be logical to guess that this game would also lack this mute option.
But hey, I can still be wrong. And I'll be damn glad if I am, because I don't want to listen to 4Kids actors any more than I have to.
well mute isn't a MAJOR problem now is it?....not saying that's what you said.
and Shadow seems to fix some important problems that the 3D games had. for example, it will have better camera control.
most of my freinds have gotten exited about the game, So i think i might rent it to try it out.
*takes a bow* Welcome to the MoFo. Nice to hear your friends are interested, too bad I can't say the same for my friends. Anyway yes this game is shaping up to be awesome, if you ask me. Enjoy your stay and be sure to start a welcoming thread in MF Central
as long as it has shadow in it,id buy it. *looks up at shadow doll on top of her cpu* monkeymanez: Lol.
monkeymanez: i have a sonic doll@
monkeymanez: !!!
pikagirlrosa: i have shadow on top of my cpu! (how does that fit in with the post we shall never know)
And THAT'S the kind of attitude that SEGA so heavily relies on.
Not to say that I blame you. That's been my attitude for the past 14 years or so

I don't know if this is the real cover(that E+10 rating could be wrong)but it look like artwork in ad that I saw PSM.
< ^ Based off much higher quality jpegs retrieved from a torrent.
I'd say these are the real deal. The game's release Stateside is only a month away...
*looks at covers*
*chokes on own tongue*
Shadow! Explosions! Guns! Shadow!
It's a box every 10 year old will be hankering over, age restrictions or no.
Maybe I'll ask for a Gamecube for Christmas, rather than a scanner.
Alternatively, I could still ask for the scanner and rely on Eon getting the game. That way I get to see the endings without actually having to put in the effort of playing the game.
I was gonna get him Sonic Gems anyway.
The Gamecube's cover is far sexier than the others.
I've seen this brought up in the GameFAQs boards lately so I knew about it; still, these covers make it even more confusing on whether this game is E-10+ or T. The ESRB website still says it's T and so does Wal-Mart's site, but others like target to toys'r'us has it from E, E-10+, and RP to not even having any record of there even being a Shadow game. For Pete's sake, Xbox's website doesn't even have anything about Shadow's game. Oh and even www.planete-sonic.com has Shadow as being E-10+. So, I guess that mean that it's E-10+, huh.
i've said this once on another board but...
The 'mute' in those Riders shots ilkely refers to a mute grab (a trick) rather than anything to do with the sound.

I thought you liked Eon? **dodges fruit**

Yeah, I was going to mention that.

i think you're right. i noticed in one of the recent videos that when Knux did a trick the name of it appeared at the same spot.
oh well, i guess Riders is gonna suck now that there's no mute option.
anyway, back on topic.
(*SPOILERS*)

Omega and Eggman's voices can be heard in this one. Eggman keeps saying "lights out". boss battle looks overall better than the Egg Emperor battle from Heroes. you can hear Shadow saying "behold! the ultimate power!" when CC is ready (forgot to mention that before 'cause i heard him say it before in another video).
music, from what i can barely hear, sorta sounds a bit more Aventure-ish, IMO...i'm not saying that the Heroes music didn't though.
Eggman doesn't sound like Pollock, but then again Knux did sound like Green in one of the other videos until i listened to it for awhile. Omega's voice is still deep *thanks God that SEGA didn't use the Gamma U.S. Sonic X VA* and sounds a bit more robot like.
P.S: unlike Heroes' Egg Emperor, this boss isn't the final boss of this mission (that was confirmed in the extreme spoilers video). this boss is the second to last boss of this mission. the slots robot is the final one.....and strangely enough, it looks alot easier than this one. but given the fact how biolizard was alot harder than finalhazrd....well.....
Yah, and when playing Sonic Battle, I always found Eggman a tougher match than Sonic vs Mega-Vamped-Up Emerl.

Y'wanna post the whole link?
*officially orgasms*
Damn! There's so much yet to be revealed!

Hey, y'all, Shadow finally has his own game site now. Check it out it looks pretty cool!!!!
For my 21st birthday, I rather had that new wine. The New Wine of the Spirit!
___________________________________________________________
Thank for the link. Finally we get to see GUN jeep and from the look of it there are more vehicles too . Damn it only six more weeks.
EDIT Yay finally some Rouge and Knuckles CG artwork
Y'wanna post the whole link?
It's not that hard to find yourself...
I wonder what the reason for the GUN officer's hatred of Shadow is, and whether the BA are just BSing to get Shadow to help them.
Shadow's site makes my computer crash ;_;
Flash-only layouts suck.
Wow after going on the annoyingly slow flash site, I am actually interested in the Shadow storyline.
Darn the lack of broadband. I cant spoil the endings for myself.
Geez, that music was generic as all hell. They'd have done better with something more epic and thrash-y, like Anthrax's 'Be All End All' (hell, even the lyrics fit). Oh well, given how generic the game looks already, I'm not surprised at the generic music they found to put in it.
ripped Knux and Rouge official artwork:
ripped music:
www.sega.com/gamesite/shadow/tracks/sound1.mp3
www.sega.com/gamesite/shadow/tracks/sound2.mp3
www.sega.com/gamesite/shadow/tracks/sound3.mp3
www.sega.com/gamesite/shadow/tracks/sound4.mp3
all from the site.
I know it's site art... but DAMN it's good.
And wow, Rouge actually has an attainable breast size! She doesn't look like a badly dressed whore any more - now she looks like a well dressed whore.
Oh. My. God. Rouge's boobs are actually in proportion with her body! *prepares for the world to violently implode*
...Well anyway, the new art looks good. ^^ Can't WAIT for this game to come out. *Shadow fangirl squeal*
Those MP3s from the site...
Sound 2 and 3 sound very similar... Light and Dark music for each stage, depending on your path...?
sad about Rouge breast size:(
So now is a E+10.I am surprised at that then again the ESRB had sometimes given the wrong rating to a video game. Example One Piece the game is rated Teen yet there nothing teen about it. I mean even Smoker(Chaser) had his cigar remove. Still the game gonna rock .
Rouge looks EXACTLY the same as she did in SA2.

Not really. Her breast size was reduce in SH and in the video I seen she doesnt bounce like she did in SA2.
BTW apparetly in VS mode you can play as others characters beside the multi colored Shadows. When you go to the official U.S. Shadow site, click on "Gameplay",click on "Game Features" there a sign post behind Shadow. When you see the emerald with the down arrow underneath it click and drag it all the way down until you get to the last mentioned feature.
Imagine Cream with a gun
I was talking about her clothes. And as for her breasts, I've never studied them in enough detail to notice any changes there.
I visited the game page yesterday and noticed you can click on the Shadow icon at the top...
Only today I found out that you can actually slide it across the red and blue bars to change the colour scheme...this obviously refers to the 'light' and 'dark' paths.
sad about Rouge breast size
No. No, it isn't.

Wow at theme scroller.
Shadow CG Trailer Thing:
Rules Will Be Broken
Truths Will Be Revealed
Sides Will Be Taken
Caps Will Be Popped
Fizzle Will Be Shizzled... Sorry. That will never be said again.
Also I dont like the way they are trying to make Shadow have two eyes. Most of the time in the trailer Shadow had his brow in between his eyes and connecting to his muzzle.
Chef John and his receipe for Shadow
Good and Evil from Fable
Sonic Adventure 2 Style Levels
Level portions the size of Sonic Heroes
Halo Vehicles
GTA Gun Play
Advance 3 Style Partner System thing.
OutRun Level progress screen.
Hopefully this wont be garnished with the two tonnes of Cow manure like Heroes.
Dont know but this game still could be good. Is this game going to be a guilty pleasure of Sonic fans? maybe...
Um... hate to start my commentary on this game by talking about Rouge's breast size, but I did notice she looked much more modest this time around. I STILL think she's wildly out of place in a Sonic game, whether that game involves guns and cursing or not. But I'll shut up before I get into trouble with a fan...
So, Shadow's shaping up pretty nicely. I'll just be glad if it's a fun game, really. I don't care if there's guns or if it's linear or if it's poorly VAed or even poorly written (I'm starting to expect that), just so long as I enjoy playing it. Heroes was tedious, and I don't think I've played it once since I finished it. SA and SA2, on the other hand, I still play.
And that's all I have to say today.
Indeed Shadow is shaping up mighty well. I'm glad he has a site, now I can bombard my friends emails with hotlinks to the site. ^_^ Anyway, with all that stuff that is yet to be opened on the site(like weapons, vehicles, levels) I say they will be updating weekly. Yay. And I can't wait to get some of those screensavers and wallpapers.
Sorry about bringing this back up, but I want to end this subject.

...Sonic is HALFWAY THROUGH THE GROUND.
Quote:
XDXD! That's terrible though, it's like a little over a month and a half from release and one of the first levels(looks like Westopolis to me) they showed has some cheap graphics of Sonic standing through the ground.
Quote:
It's probably water. Looks like Sonic's in a swimming pool or something.

I disagree. It looks like a road to me. Besides, most of Sonic Team's water is transparent, and has been since, well, ever.

That looks like grass to me.

Kneecapped Sonic. Thats enough of that.
And other quotes on this subject.
Now, lets look at the screens of Shadows level where he works with Sonic. I can't find them or else I'd show them. They have Sonic and Shadow running thru knee-deep Green sewer-like water. Splashes included.
Quid Pro Quo.
Eh... if you watch the neutral walkthrough video, you can definitely see how that's a glitch because it reverts back to normal.
I just came across something that bugs me a bit...
In the Q&A section on Shadow's page (I think it's also on the Shadow page on the Sega website), there is a quote that just doesn't sit right with me. It's in the Weapons section, under "E3 Weapons Interview."
When asked why Shadow was chosen to star in his own game, Sega reps said: "We've been interested in feauturing Shadow in his own game since we first introduced him in Sonic Adventure."
Anything seem wrong with that? If you think it was a mistake, the next sentence doesn't help much...
"He has since made appearences in Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle..." etc.
Um... did I miss something in SA? 'Cause I thought I played through that one pretty darn thorougly.
Kinda makes you question some of the information we're getting from these sites. I say we remain skeptical till we see the game for ourselves.
Yea that SA line is rather quaint. Oh well. May advice to you is Ignore it. Yea ^_^ And welcome to the MoFo...you seem to be new. *shakes hand*
I'm not sure why, but it bothers the heck outta me when they mention SA2B like it's a completely different game to the original SA2.
"We've been interested in featuring Shadow in his own game since we first introduced him in Sonic Adventure [2]."
Yet they still killed him off. Perhaps they always intended on Shadow returning

Nice. That Black Arms Giant looks killer bad.
Doesn't anybody notice the similarities between the Black Arms and Chaos and Emeral? As if Chaos and Emeral were creations of the Black Arms?!
Hmm the eyes do somewhat resemble Emerl's and Chaos' kinda.
Yeah.. and before they got their better, more detailed makeover, the Black Arms troops had green eyes and blue bodies, like Chaos. And true, the mostly featureless faces of the soldiers and the giants (or grunts and juggernauts as I've been calling 'em) do resemble Emerl's.

What are you insinuating? Cream woyld never, NEVER be seen with a gun!
Nah, she'd just get Cheese to use it. Actually, Cheese would probably relish using a piece, homocidal chao that he is.
