I notice that too. I still believe the Black Arms are really some kind of experiment from Ark. Which would explain why Black Doom reconized Shadow and why they would be attacking Earth.

I have had this idea for a while now but keep forgeting to stab it on to the board. What if Black Doom comes from the Little Planet from Sonic CD. And they are annoyed at Sonic for destroying UFOs (In the special stages) and Eggman for trying to conquer the planet and so they now launch. They have been observing Sonic and waiting for the time to attack and they see an angst riddled amnesiac hedgehog and use him to their advantage. They have the Time Stones so they know everything that has happened to Shadow's poor little life. And the buggers are manipulating him into getting the Chaos Emeralds.

Interesting idea, John. I can see Sega using that since Gems Collection just came out. On the other hand, I'm not sure the majority of the target market for Shadow has played Sonic CD, so I don't know that Sega would relate that far back plot-wise.

The game is slated November 15th as of now. Seems pretty legit too.
Good old Sega, unlike Square or Nintendo, they meet their deadlines when it comes to Christmas releases and have them out for the holiday season, huge flaws and glitches or not.
These days I tend to find it unhealthy for a game to come out on the day it should

Gun Leader - Man of Mystery
Who is this man? The leader of GUN, he holds a fierce resent toward Shadow the hedgehog, yet, for now, we have no clue why.
I have a little theory, tho.
Lets start by guessing how old he is. He's grey, and wrinkled, white hair.
We can guess somewhere in his 60's-70's.
Maybe older if he works out.
Now, assuming that B****, altsimers, hasn't caught up with him, a man that old can remember a lot of things.
He can remember when he first entered the army.
He can remember when Dr. Eggman launched his first attack of the world.
And....
He can remember, hiding in the shadows, watching his sister, Maria, be gunned down.
And he blames the whole thing on something called project Shadow.
And what tears him apart the most is.....
He's directly related to his worst enemy.
Dr. "Eggman" Robotnik.
Kinda spooky, huh? 😛

Too many holes in that theory, first of all the Robotnik males look very alike, whereas GUN Man doesn't look anything like either of them. There's no logic in blaming Project Shadow for anything and then becoming the leader of the organisation which not only okayed the whole thing, but acted out of turn to murder and imprison everyone involved. Also, if unofficial resources like stratergy guides can be trusted, Maria was only on the ARK because of an incurable disorder which Gerald was working on the key to immortality (via Project Shadow) to save her, so there'd be no reason for other family there (and Gerald made it clear himself that Maria was his only real family, which I'm sure his younger brother/sister who eventually had Eggman would have been pleased to hear).
The more likely scenario is that he's some annoymous guy and just hates Shadow for discreditting, humiliating and blowing a big chunk of GUN up in SA2.
If I was going to give him any plot significance, beyond that, Cyber's idea would have to be the only one I can consider, and that's mostly through a pessimistic feeling that it would destroy the best scene in Sonic X season 1.
