iTunes customers can buy the game for themselves, or easily give the gift of Sonic The Hedgehog. Similar to music and video content on the iTunes Store, customers simply find the game on iTunes and click the "Gift This Game" button
I wonder how the control would work on a iPod?
Just touch the direction you want to go, click down to jump? Who knows.
Anyways, lmao @ completely stock rant about popularity of Sonic. How many times do they say that when trying to sell something?
Sega won't be happy until they've released this game on every single electronic device known to man will they?

Yes, but they've also released it on nearly every game console ever. I reckon actual sales would be more like 30 million unique sales, I know I've got like three copies of it just because it's available on everything.
That figure relates to the franchise as a whole not a specific installment or ports of said installment.
Huh. Well, my point still stands, actual sold copies would be far less when you take out the fact that most people probably own at least one of the games more than once.
Yea I thought you were thinkingof Sonic 1 alone. 35 million...for any single game would be otherworldly. But iPod Sonic, heh. Maybe with all these 2D ports they'll make a new* 2D one.
NOPE!! Never!
For PS3/360/Wii that is, not counting DS and PSP titles.
I can't wait 'til they port it to my graphing calculator! =D
Don't jinx it! >_>
Boy, I can't wait for Sonic 1 to be released on a Timex
I totally paid the five dollars for this game. I use control scheme B which is playable with just a thumb. :0 The position your thumb rests on the wheel thinger decides what direction Sonic runs in, and clicking any button makes him jump. I prefer playing Sonic 1 this way to any other way I've played it.
Yes but when will Sonic tunes be available on Itunes?
I'm calling BS on you @ Acrio... There is no way you of all people spent money to play S1... noooo freakin' way
I had piles of money poured on me at Christmas. ^-^
Did it hurt?
