So much that I finally got around to documenting a lot of it in one 15-minute-long glitch extravaganza.

Some of that is well known (at least to players who try to get through the game quickly, because there are some tricks here that save quite a large amount of time). Some is probably unknown until I revealed it here. I believe that everyone who watches this for the first time will learn something new, or at least come across something new that they can't comprehend and then read the documentation at soniccenter.org/sm/files/sa2gt.txt to get a better explanation.
[EDIT 2007/02/04] "A lot of it"? Well, it turns out not as much (percentagewise) as I thought it would be. I found even more, and now there's a second video. youtube.com/watch?v=QswNfNaWQgo
What do you have to say about it?

That shouldn't be coming up. I was able to view this while logged out, and the video is in fact racking up view count more than the number of times I've checked on it myself. YouTube tends to lose track of things like that at times--just keep trying.
kk, watching it now ^_^.
Watched it. It was pretty good
I love this kind of stuff. Nice compilation.
... though I still like SA2B's "Metal Sonic skips across the water like a stone" best. =P
Saw it and luved it, this guy's pretty smart.
Lotsa free time as well.
Holy mother of pearl, that's freaking awesome! ^^ First off, excellent job of capturing and editing the video. The music was nice as well.
Second, wiggity-what @ freaking amount of glitches. Are these all SA2-exclusive, or could some of these be done in SA2:B as well? If so, I so want to try some of these. 😀
Major props to you, good person 😀

SA2B allows all of them except Metal Harbor, Eternal Engine, and Dry Lagoon. SA2 allows all of them, but you have to take a more indirect path to do Hidden Base (and since the primary purpose of that trick is to save time getting to the Chao, it's a disadvantage there).
You can get more music from Hybrid at emusic.com or distinctiverecords.com . Occasionally you'll find free samples on their official site, hybridsoundsystem.com .
So that's why they use their beta testing to make a preprogrammed camera, to hide the bad collision detection.
i didn't realise it could be so easy to go through some of the walls. oo;
Ha ha ha, finally, someone else who figured some of that stuff out!
I'm sure there was an Faq on Gamefaqs that had some of these, but I remember spending a while trying to do some myself...good times!
Sonic Team is rubbish...Hooray!
(Just kidding, I love SA2!)
CLIPPING...CONTROL!
Awesome video. I knew how idclip'd SA2 was, I had no idea the bounce attack did...whatever that was. Carrying the momentum of spindashes or something.
From what I've seen, Metal Harbor, Green Forest, Route 101 (under the guise of Route 280), the second part of Death Chamber, and Green Hill segments were written about in glitch or other guides at GameFAQs. Some I had known for a long time after acquiring them by other means (first or secondhand) and knew they would be of use when putting this video together. A few were discovered during the making as I was looking for things to do for some missing levels.
To get the bounce to go that high, you have to hit A+B as you spindash into a wall. You can get varying heights out of it, up to a limit about as high as you see on the second attempt in Pyramid Cave.
Wow, now that was just crazy o.o
