Yeah, yeah, I know the Wii is more like a Gamecube Turbo, but Sega finally moved from the DC visuals to GCN ones.:lol *bricked*

I prefer this art style over the 360/PS3 game anyday, though. And the more I see of this, the more I want it!

That cacti level sure looks pretty. As far as I know it's also something completely new! Yay for original levels!
Now I wonder how many levels this game will have.. it'll be interesting to see just how many variations of the desert-themed level they can cramp in. 😛

I also really love the first level's buildings. They remind me of those beautiful mosques I saw in Turkey.
I'd like to see more levels with huge differently-colored domes and those walls filled with writings and painted bricks.

Always glad to see that this game is using the Sonic Adventure-Shadow art style. Love the site layout.

Looks like the ring on his finger is smaller than the normal power rings, maybe they're the source to that fire on his chest?

You just took the words outta my mouth, WW. I won't be surprised if it is. Kinda remind me of his fire ring from SA2.

Cool video. I still wonder why there are dinosaurs in a game that uses Arabian Nights stories as plot but oh well.
Also 1up as positive preview about the game

Thank Ash and SHADONIC. And what the heck is up with that video SH?

Anyway, Im eager to get my hands on this. I love the part whean Sonic surfed on the log.

And Every time he grab those fire balls, the meter on the lower right hand of the screen fills up. I wonder what happen whean it fills up compleatly? Do the ring on his middle finger somehow have a connection with theat?

IMO, I guess they put the Dinos in the game to make sure people don't think they ripped off the Arabiran Nights. by adding a twist of ther own it make the game more interesting.

Great find Shigamado. All the more reason for me to go to Wal-Mart at 12:00 AM Sunday November 19th. =P

Well, I wouldn't go that far. Secret Rings won't be coming out until Spring of '07; so, for me at least, there is no hurry to get the Wii, especially with only one color at launch.

But it's on the Wii so it's a family event!

Picture this: After you've had dinner, your whole family gathers around the television, turns their Wii on, and fights over the Wiimote. Once you all settle down, grandma goes first, waving her flabby arms around while telling us about how hedgehogs were brown back in her day. Then grandpa has a go, reminding us how he used to run like Sonic when he was chasing nazis back in WW2. Mom and dad go next, mom wonders how she can get Sonic to stop so she can just admire the scenery, while dad realises he can use the Wiimote and hold his beer at the same time. Then it's your turn, but oh no! The neighbours have come over to play too (they bring you cake in tupperware containers to eat as you share your Wii experience), so you have to be a good host and wait. Finally after the neighbours have finished using you for your Wii, your turn comes, but it's bed time. Sucks to be you. Next time you will remember to grind up some sleeping pills and slip it into your family dinner tomorrow night.

I really don't see what's the matter with the video. So, what, it has a kid on it; Sonic is still mostly aimed at kids though I do see your point that it would have made it look fun for all ages to have an adult or whole family playing the game. On the plus side, it shows that the Wiimote will come with a wrist strap which I didn't know about until now.

Honestly I don't see the purpose of a wrist strap unless the Wiimote is mor fragile than your average controller, which would be a bad thing, not to mention out-of-character for Nintendo.

It could be incase you accidentally let go while making a big movement in Wii Sports or something. And to say they put something inplace in case someone does drop it. ;P

All you have to do is flick your wrist. That shouldn't cause the Wiimote to fly that far if at all

Not in all games, Wario Ware also has a few that might cause it to fly off, if you're clumsy.

Like the one where you have to balance the remote on your hand.

Actually, I like the idea of having a wrist strap on the Wiimote. I remember hearing about a mini-game in Rayman: Raving Rabbids where you swing the remote over your head like a lasso for something. I can only imagine my butterfingers loosing grip on the thing and breaking a nearby window. :nn;

A wrist strap shouldn't be nessesary in Secret of the Rings, though. You're not swinging the thing around like crazy in this title. :p

Or will we? They haven't said anything about what types of mini games. But regardless a wriststrap is handy.

:indeed , I enjoy the wriststraps on my DS and PSP to carry around on my wrist.

Some people find the Strap helpful, some don't. Some might use it, some might not. Me, i don't know.

There. Now What the heck is wrong with the kid simpley playing Sonic? Sonic is a kid game yet attracts adults too.

Really, do a game HAVE to have any thing Adult rated things to attract adults? No.

Im REALLY starting to worry about some of you people.

I agreee with sonic candy on that. I mean, it's a cartoon hedgehog, for crying out loud. Of corse he'll be more targeted to kids. But it's no reason to stop playing. Just look at Mario, for instance: I believe Mario is more targeted to kids, and yet we have plenty of older gamers with New Super Mario Bros. cards in their DS systems. It's really nothing to worry about.

I also agree with Chub who agreed with me! If you TRUELY think a kid playing a Cartoon game is bad you people REALLY hate kids and want to force kids to eat veggies and walk the dog, do home work, stop drinking pop and DRINK WATER!

Self centered Adults want to rule the world and useing kids as your minors. And They say slavery don't extist no more :p

Also: Cartoon Hegehogs and are MADE by adults. Kids and adults PLAY the games with the Cartoon hegehogs. So yea.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, Charlie and candy, they not saying there is anything wrong with it; they're just saying it doesn't help Sonic's kiddie image. They're actually afraid that other people may see that and think it's just a kiddy game and not want to play it; they, as far as I can tell, are still gonna get it no matter how "kiddie" it is viewed upon by others.

Maybe they should of put the whole family there fighting over the wii remote. (Not THAT remote you pevs.) I mean if people think it's a kiddy game, they don't have to play it. Point blank.

People bought Shadow for kids and they KNEW it hade guns because of the ads on tv. Now every one WON'T buy Rings beacause of a little kid?! Ok, to me, it make sense. Im not sure about the rest of Y'all.

And Numbuh 1 will prolly sent the entire KND on me because im 14. So i can't say hello. :(

And I know too Wonder. Anyway, anything about the game or what? New movies? Screen shots? Something?

Im wondering if Sonic is the only person to play. And Why do Sonic have to collect pages of a book? Do they have a secrect message that can help Eggman rule the world? (Yea right!) Or do the babylons rouges have to do something with this?

WHAT THE POINT OF THE GAME?!

I think the story is that Sonic has to find the missing pages in a book. Somehow (probably because of the ring) he is warped into the book.

Well that was the story. It might get changed again like Rivals did.

Hummm.. the ring PROLLY warp him in the book but how did he get the ring?

And why the heck is he readinng a book? I meant he HATES to stay in one spot. Unless, Sega changed his 'tude . And how is he collecting the pages of the book if he IN the book? 0o

Well, rings are pretty much here and there in the sonic world. And as seen in 3D: Flickies' Island, rings also open portals to other dimensions (which Flickies can travel through).

And maybe the missing stories are somewhere in the "book dimension".
This makes me think of something.. the villain should be someone different this time, not Eggman.

I forgot about that. I was wondering if Sega whould use something else because, correct me if im wroung ('Cause if don't have a DS and can't play Rush), Blaze did'et come Sonic dimension by jumping through a Warp ring.

And As for the new bad guy, It can't be Jet or the other babylons. So, who IS the new bad guy?

BUM BUM BUMMMM!

Can't say for sure about Rush either, but as far as I know the merging of the two universes was caused by Eggman getting the Sol Emeralds into Sonic's universe, but how he himself got to Blaze's world to steal the Sol Emeralds in first place is left unexplained.

The bad guy is probably someone new entirely, I hope it's something fitting for the arabian theme, like some crazy evil djinn or something. ^w^
Or maybe it's Void. The whole book world thing reminds me of Shuffle's plot. :cuckoo

OMG! Your right! The whole book thing do sound like Void! :crazy

Yea, i do hope it's some crazy Person/thing that in the book.

HEY! Maybe it's that king in the book! Ya know the girl who told him that story that last Hunderads of nights? But that's me.

I think this game'll actually turn out better than Sonic the Hedgehog (PS3/XBOX360)!

Can someone put up some pictures of the dinosaurs for me? I don't have an IGN membership and the "Sonic Meets DInosaurs" video is an "IGN Members Only" video...:(

I'm starting to think that myself, 332, because it's just Sonic playable (aside from the minigames?), and we also won't have to worry about confused camera angles. That, and it's basically the most fun parts (IMO) taken from SA1 & 2: the Sonic/Shadown gameplay.

As for the story, I think it's pretty clear that Sonic must search for the "Diamond in the Rough"...
