I honestly am excited to see what the reviewers think of this.
I got this premonition that it's gonna be a hit...
IGN has a new preview article of this game up along with some new pictures and 5 videos. Included is news that there is some branching paths and that, although we can't control the camera, the camera is good in this game-these among other things.
Still not going to get my hopes high, but the impressions and videos were very nice.
After Sonic jumps, I like that he can still keep the momentum up. Not only that, but it seems that if he hits a wall or something, he will kind of roll side ways off of it, and still retain some of his speed rather than just coming to a complete stop.
The voice work seems like typical Sonic, which doesn't bother me one bit. As long as its really fun i'll be happy.
Sadly, it doesn't look like Sonic will be rolling into a perfect sphere any time soon.
Seems like we got another disembodied voice/Tikal type character.
That music in the background is lame.
I like the new addition of the rails.
So far, the more I read about it, the better it sounds.

Yea, but this doesn't have the "doom and gloom" previews that Sonic next gen had. Some previews are calling it the best 3-D Sonic yet.

On the 'Spikes on the Wall' video, I thought at first Sonic had a female voice. o.o
Perhaps it's silly of me to wish this, but I hope they put as much time and effort into the minigames as they do the main game. It'd be nice to have something other than Wii Sports and Rayman at parties.

Two new characters reveal. On the left the one with the cape must be the main bad guy,Erazor,and on the right must that ring fairy,Shaara,that was mention in the Nintendo Power interview that help Sonic in the game.

Wii Play, yes. I was never into Wario or the Mario Party games, and I played Monkey Ball but it wasn't as much fun as I expected (I actually got nauseous on some levels).
Back on topic, I'd like to own a Sonic game that can make my friends say, "Woah this is cool AND fun!" Instead of, "holy bad camera angel, Batman!" I'm hoping for the prior comment with this game.
You know, with the way they styled that Erazor wizard, the Sonic 2006 style of Robotnik wouldn't look out of place at all. Hope that isn't the case, though.
Knux Chao of GameFAQs found this on Sonic Cult's forum. Even though it has the same picture that Shadonic posted, if you scroll down, they have a close up picture of Erazer. Also speaking of Shaara, many on GameFAQs thought the female voice in the video is Shaara, and if you notice, there is a small pink orb floating around Sonic in the video this is probably Shaara as well.

Hahha yea I think that orb thing was Shaara in the videos. I love the color change and stuff on those Dino pics. So cool.

So Knuckles is Sinbad, Tails is Ali Baba, and Eggman is the king. Wonder what role Amy will be?As for Shadow I think he might appear in multiplayer mode.

Whoa...game looks sweet. The multiplayer stuff looks nice. And the visuals...good gosh. That sunset! Nice to see Knux, Tails, etc. When does this game come out again? I remember hearing March, but it seems like it's late Feburary now.

Good. This actually means that Sega isn't pandering too much to the fanchildren who want their favorite character(even if they seem unnessary and their gameplay is meh) who is not Sonic, and attempting to put a product that ebbs with quality above all else.
Of course, I could be wrong on the quality part as this game could turn out dreadful in the end with or without Shadow.

Can't really tell to be sure. Hey, I've heard alot worse Sonic rock themes. I still don't like that lyric themes (ALA S.A. 2) will be in the game.

Just as paranoid as me that Hot Toppic, I mean Shadow, may be in this game. Here's hoping he's not.

Since the chaos emeralds are being replaced by the secret rings does this mean we will have a No super sonic.. or a different transformation such as Solar Sonic or wild fire sonic? Maybe no transformation at all...
Well, they're saying there's 8 stages in the game, so maybe it consists of the regular seven stages each containing a "secret ring", and then the 8th last stage perhaps? As a name, Solar Sonic DOES sounds cool though.

solar sonic seems more fitting with the fire theme... as super sonic seems more fitting to electricity since he was pretty much a lightning rod to Perfect Chaos.. Im not entirely sure.. but Solar sonic seems suitable... but i may be wrong..
Ah, remember, that outfit he was wearing had nothing to do with his "Ultra/Solar/Polar/Eco" form in that issue. It was just to allow him to carry the emerald he was using. He's done the "Ultra" bit in a different issue (sans the outfit)--only did the "Solar/Polar/Eco" in one.

An' after thinkin' about it, Ultra Sonic would be cool to see as well - but there isn't much of an appearance change in it (despite the cool little floating symbol that hovers over his head)

Im not sure about it but didnt sonic transform into solar sonic in a desert like region?.. im not sure exactly maybe it was like a savanah(sp) area I'll have to dust off 71 and make sure.. but i know echo sonic and polar sonic was used in a tropical forest area and a snowy area.
