Hello.

I found some Eggman sprites for "Sonic Pocket Adventure," and noticed that they were in SA style. I became interested, and searched SonicHQ for "Sonic Pocket Adventure" information.

Unfortunately, it's not in the database. So, hopefully some of you can explain this game to me. (Such as when it came out...)

Thanks,
EE

Sonic Pocket Adventure was released on the Neo-Geo Pocket Color in late late 1999. It uses aspects from Sonic 1, 2, 3 & Knuckles. (Nearly all of the levels are from Sonic 2, with a wierd Metropolis/Scrap Brain hybrid also featuring and the Extra boss being a Doomsday Zone style fight. Almost all the tunes are from Sonic 3 & Knuckles, with Sonic Jam's Sonic World theme and a few remixes of the Sonic 3 Title Screen music thrown in.)

Oddly, Eggman only wears his SA costume in cutscenes and during the Final Utopia boss, he wears his classic outfit everywhere else.

Ah! Thank you for the info! So, you mentioned that it has cutscenes...

So, is this game in the SA2 style where you have animated cutscenes between the levels, or am I imagining it wrong?

And, this comes out BEFORE SA, right?

What's funny is that I've never even heard of "NeoGeo" or "Sonic Pocket Adventure." Haha.

Thanks,

EE

If you ever need info on one of the games, just go to the GHZ. It's like... this thing... you should do.

Thanks!

Heh, I didn't even think of going to the GHZ.

Well, I tried playing this game, and expected a little too much of it. Accually, fighting Knuckles was pretty cool, and I liked the S3&K music, a lot. However, I hated the S2 stages, ever since I bought S2, many years ago. Especially that Chemical Plant level, the Casino Level, and the Water one.

Anyway, the graphics were pretty cool!
