Unless someone in Sonic Team either forsaw the future or had a time machine and found out that Sonic Riders will be a hit, it doesn't make sense. How can they already talk about a sequel, when the first one isn't even out yet?
Yes, i've heard this little bit of apparent news a few other places as well. Apparently it is "confirmed" for PS3 and Xbox 360. If this is true Sega seems pretty confident in themseelves...which of course is stupid, since (dont get me worng, I'm a huuuuuge Sonic and Sega fanboy) they dont seem to realize how many fans they a pissing off with all these new characters and flawed gameplay.
Here's a hint Sega: Less new characters, more old characters *cough*mighty*cough*Fang*cough*
Perhaps a new 3D engine while we are at it?
Anyway back on topic, I'm all for a sequel providing the first is good. But with only 8 tracks (apparently) and semi-mediocre graphics and new characters with the most god-awful names since Cream the Rabbit (Web the Swallow?!), I'm not holding my breath. Here's hoping Sonic the Hedgehog (next gen) will get this series back up on its feet.
