lol Right...actually I can't remember much more than that line. Haha...seven rings in hand and make believe reborn...faith in man restored or something. Gosh it's been ages since i've played that game.
So here's the entire plot from Bendilin. It's spoilers if you're too dumb to know yourself
Spoilers (Select To Read): As most of us already know, the story behind this game is that all of the Chao have mysteriously gone missing and all eight characters, for one reason or another, are trying to find out why/rescue them. It turns out, just like in the first game, Eggman Nega has come from the future, disguising himself as Robotnik, to destroy the past so everyone will fear the Robotnik family name instead of treating it as a joke.
And yet again, everyone thinks it's Robotnik except for Silver, who teams up with Espio to bring him down. Obviously, Eggman Nega is the one behind the missing Chao. But why? He wants to summon Ifrit.
Ifrit is a giant fire god that's a cross between a phoenix and a dragon that comes from another dimension which it has already destroyed. Eggman Nega plans on using the seven Chaos Emeralds to open a portal to this dimension, summon Ifrit, and then FEED Ifrit the living Chao to make it invincible. It's pretty much Sonic The Hedgehog all over again, except Ifrit has already successfully set its entire home dimension ablaze, Nega doesn't have to kill Sonic to make some random princess cry, and Ifrit doesn't have a second half to fuse with.
Also, this time Sonic, Shadow, and Knuckles know who Silver is while Rouge, Espio, and Tails don't. The game has two Metal Sonics in it; Eggman Nega's Metal Sonic 3.0, and the actual Metal Sonic (who obediently follows Shadow due to Robotnik's orders).
i haven't played rivals or Sonic 360, but is Rivals set in the same canon as Sonic 360? I would have thought that tails would know who Silver is...
The storyline of Sonic 360 ends up never taking place by the end of the game.
Yeah, which makes Sonic's, Knuckles' and Shadow's meeting with Silver in Rivals 1 their first, and Tail's and Rouge first meeting with Silver in Rivals 2.
Don't bother with any of Rivals storylines. They tend to screw up the cannon badly, and don't follow previous stories well.
