How many people here have heard of the Sonic fangame Sonic Robo Blast 2, and how many have played it? And of those who've played it, what do you think of it?

Personally I like it; it seems more similar to the older Sonic games in both style and structure, yet it also has a bit of a "new" feel to it as well, especially in the Castle Eggman part. Also, I think it goes to show what creativity can fuel without the need for a profit motive.

Yep, I've played it, a few years ago now I think...I think it's great, especially as it's a fangame.

I find it quite nice knowing that a lot of fangames out there end up being better than the recent official titles, similar to how Sonic the Comic is continued by fans, just shows how important the character is to some people.

Oh yeah, I played that... although the fact that there were only 3 levels sucks. It says on the site there are 30+ levels. Maybe a bigger version is coming soon :/

Ironically, I added this thread the day before Shadow Hog announced a newer version of SRB2 which has more levels than before. Also, SRB2's zones (especially the new Deep Sea one) are generally so big and non-linear that they'll have plenty of replay value if only for how much they can be explored.
