Ha, ha, they were great so much so I looked up the first one which was also great.
Watched this a while ago. The bloke who did the one where Sonic's eyes melt posts on the STCO forums. As a result I got addicted to listening to Sonic 3 Boss remixes on Newgrounds.

Most of the shorts between the videos weren't really funny and the animation along with the design was bad in many of them. Though I did chuckle at Eggman thrusting his pelvis at Sonic while saying "Take a look at this!", Silver lack of running ability, the Aquatic Ruin zone, and the running gag of Big trying to find froggy.
Actually it was "Get a load of this!". You know, from, like, the Egg Viper fight.

The 3rd one wasn't as great as the other two. The only one I thought was amusing was the Bean one. The Froggy one was the best though.
I love the menu animations with the running/flying people. Just sit there and watch them for a bit, it's quite impressive.

Just because it is from Newgrounds doesn't mean everything there is expected to have low-quality animation--especially seeing that these shorts were rated high. =p
This for example is dang good animation that debuted on this site years ago. Also note that I didn't say every clip in that movie had terrible animation. A few were better animated that others.

You only said "It is a Newsgrounds flash, what kind of animation did you expect?" I took that to mean that you can't expect good animation to come to that site. However if you want any non-professional decent flash animation then here is a couple of examples:
A better way to put what Vulpix is saying would be you shouldn't expect something that someone did in their spare time, as a hobby, to be of any quality, it's also free after all. If it's of fantastic quality then that's awesome, but it's a public site afterall.
I liked a few of the shorts, but I didn't think anything was so bad it wasn't worth watching for the good things.
What I instantly thought of at the end of that Bitey video:
Technically Silver could just levitate himself through any of the normal sonic obstacles.

He's still working on it. Just that he's sealed himself from the internets to get away from the newbs and fanboys that constantly stalked him.
I know this is usually GT's shtick, but Volume 4 is up now. Finally, we know why Hyper Sonic was never used again. Of other note, the scenes in the title screen is cool and so is the animations during the credits.

Does anyone else think it would be funnier if they did a version of Sonic shorts with nothing else but it being based on Game Trailers.

Yes. The entire Sonic cast is color blind. I can at least kinda sort understand mistaking Metal for Sonic when viewing it from fuzzy video feed in the midst of global chaos. Shadow.....nooooo
Well admittedly blue does look like black in the dark. But Sonic is a hero. Why didn't the authorities at least question him?
