While thinking one day on the personality differences between Sonic and Shadow and since reading the Chaos Control topic on this very same page, I've seen similarities between Sonic and Superman and Shadow and Batman. Now you might be thinking "How?" well, think about it, both Sonic and Superman are thought of as pretty much pure and both are pretty much boy scouts--that is no darkness is seen in them much (as far as I can tell, none at all in Sonic.) Batman and Shadow are dark and seen as people who will do anything to reach justice.
Batman will threaten villains, i.e. hold them out windows, toss them against walls, etc., and I could definitely see Shadow doing that maybe even doing more than just threatening. Superman on the other hand, if he tries to use Batman's style the villains would say, "Go ahead, boy scout," and the same effect would happen if Sonic done the same thing. In addition, what color comes to mind when thinking of Superman and Sonic, that's right blue and Batman and Shadow, right, black. Blue is pleasing to the eye and has a calming effect; black is dreary and can induce fear--what Batman wants and probably what Shadow likes.
In conclusion, to any DC comic fans, this analysis comes from animated JL and may not match the comic's portrayal of Supes and Bats. So what are your thoughts?
