Spew. Graphic overhaul? Like Conker Live and Reloaded? I swear Conker looks like a harry caveman with all those induvidual fur strands on his face.

This videoclip of Conker right here, makes me agree with you on Conker looking like a Caveman D B Vulpix. Conker looks like a squirrel version of a caveman to me though.

Xbox version, you mean. NOT Xbox 360, but Xbox. (Although it IS backwards compatible...)

Oh. I see! World Tour! That guy is clearly a French person.

That makes sense!

Though it's the Greek background. <.<

As for the vids, the Wii version is pretty impressive, looks about as good as Sonic 2006 did technically but still much nicer environments, lots of detail in the background but not a lot going on for ages in a straight line...it also seemed a little buggy with the spring at one point. Also I'm liking the sparks that appear when running next to a wall. The next gen version looks more beautiful and a bit more fun, but also a little more frustraiting, the PS3 version in particular, though this could be the player or the pad...

Still, can't really comment on control until you test it yourself.

Know what I'm happy about? Sonic Team got off their lazy asses and called 4kids to get Jason Griffith to record again. Instead of re using sound bytes from like...Sonic 2k6.

So his YEAH's and Woohoos! Aren't recycled. I am happy. And they actually sound good. Hard to hear because of the music but whatever. Plus the Wii graphics are very impressive. It tickles me at the part when, after a loop, Sonic jumps for the rail and his legs and arms start to flail while he's in the air. And how he swings his body back and forth on the zipline. Little animations like that make me smile a little inside. Grand contrast to Sonic 06 when Sonic never actually had good animations in his attacks. And when he held Elise just "projected his mass" at the ememies.

EDIT: Granted. They probably weren't going to use recycled sound bytes in the end anyway....All the clips we've seen before have been when this game was in earlier stages of its production....meh.

Whoa now. This is looking good. I too like the animations...much more fluid and realistic I think. Way to go Sonic Team...they're improving. 😛

Good night, that Egypt video was freakin'awesome!!!! You know, the last few days I was thinking about the music from the Genesis games and how they fit the enviroment, and the ones in Unleashed fit the enviroments perfectly as well!!

These levels need more human casualties. Like in the level that has a lot of lawn chairs and outside tables with the umbrellas. When ever Sonic skids out and hit them they'd scramble out of the way.

0_0 You mean you just now noticed that?! I've noticed that forever. Anyway, pictures 3, 6, 9, and 12 are my favorites! I also am partial to the close up on Eggman's nose because the graphics are so good you can see the hair pores on his nose!

How do they make those shoes so shiny?
Lets just hope that the game is as good as those screenshots.

Edit:

Sega has revamped the website

Yargh! I've been looking at the site almost everyday to see when they were going to put the real site and even looked at least twice today, so that I could reveal it and then when I wasn't working they changed it, ahhh!! BTW, not mad at you Abac; just venting.

Gotta say the US website for the game is pretty cool. Love the concept art.
So the name of areas in the game are: Shamar, Abadat, Chun-Nan, Mazuri, Apotos, Empire City, Holoska and Spagonia. Cool names.

Woah, look closely at that last image! The blast from the chaos emeralds is what shatters the earth! =O Also, that picture of Eggman on his knees begging to Super Sonic, and Supes looking cocky as all hell is awesome.

*passes out* The cutscene scenes look so amazing...like...this is basically why I want the game. I really do hope it plays well also though. Hopefully this game will be better than we're all expecting...kinda like a sleeper hit. Come on Sega, you can do it!

Oh awesome, Eggman's blackheads rendered in High Def!

I really dont know what to think about this game. I love the bastardized versions of real life places (shame there isn't a Las Vegas or Tokyo though), The human designs look cool, The graphics look good (The speed and detail is excellent) and the music is catchy.

But its Sonic Rush and Secret Rings in the daytime and Ristar 3D in night time.

On the other hand, I've always wanted a Ristar 3D. =P

Hahaha, Ristar 3D indeed. But the real world places is a good move in my opinion. As for Tokyo...I thought in that one trailer (that was like the TMNT I opening scene you know) it went through Tokyo. *shrugs* Anywho...this game will be interesting, for sure. Who's making it btw? Sega Studios USA or Sonic Team Japan? Oh wait...it's Dimps and....crap I remember seeing it somewhere, i'm just too lazy to look it up. *is embarrassed* But i'm totally looking forward to this game...my love for Sonic has declined so much lately, I want to love the series again and this might be the game to trigger it.

So have I, and the werehog stuff doesn't look completely terrible. Until you realise that you are controlling a cross between Sonic and The Big Fluffy guy from Monsters Inc.

T.T aw what the crap none of those music links work for me.

Edit: Oh I needed quicktime. Ok...

Wow the World Map theme has a mario kind of ....thing going on. Like a cross between the Melee character select menue and a Disney song.

He's one bad mutha- shut yo mouth! @ Spagonia Night...With like...a french twist XD Eventhough Accordians doesn't automatically mean france or anything.....

For some reason that subtitle makes me giggle. Possibly because Sonic really IS cursed by the stagnation of his series...

Found this over at Sonic Stadium (credit goes to the user named Shadtzer):

The new issue of GamesMaster came out today and I picked up a copy. In the mag is a new 1 page hands-on preview of Unleashed on Xbox 360. I don't have access to a scanner right now, I'll try and get it scanned up in the morning at my parents if not then the weekend. If someone else who has the mag can scan it up that'd be appreciated.

Anyway, GamesMaster say the game is 85% finished so all of you people begging for a release date now know why we still don't have one and why AAUK said they are very focused right now on polishing the game instead of coding a demo up. This would also explain why trailers and the official sites are still saying 'Holiday 2008' and why Japan's not getting it until December.

Back on track, GamesMaster only got to play the Sonic stages and they again give the game their '5/5 Most Wanted Rating'. here's a type up of their end of preview GM Verdict -

QUOTE (GamesMaster)
GM Loves -
+ The incredible looks and sounds
+ The new moves giving us more control

GM Hates -
- We still have doubts about the Werehog
- It still feels a bit on-rails at times

Leaving aside the untested Werehog stages this is looking extremely impressive. Time will tell if it lives up to expectations, but we're very excited

Games Master also reveal -
- European area we all thought could be London is Italy
- More confirmation Tails, Knuckles and Shadow feature
- Game looks gorgeous shaming even Super Mario Galazy in terms of colourfully exuberant level design
- No complaints on frame-rate. They say Even when Sonic's pace threatens to peel your eyeballs like onions things look pretty as a picture thanks to some zippy visual blurring as he speeds on through.
- Orchestral sountrack which they say is another nod to Super Mario Galaxy
- Some mission based challenges
- Intriguing new character which their keeping schtum on(most likely Chip)
- B button is used to crouch as well as used for sliding we've seen it used for in gameplay footage.

They end their preview boldly claiming this is without question the most exciting Sonic game for over 10 years

It sounds pretty promising. Looks like they're close to being complete, only 15% more to go. It's also nice to hear that they're taking their time polishing the game.

Not that I ever credit Gamesmaster as a source of amazing reviews, that is some very very good news and more or less solid confirmation that I will make the plunge, especially as their reservations are the same as mine, IE Werehog.

Hoping the release date comes soon, BUT Sega spend enough time to polish it off and give it a nice full release rather than the usual slapdash hasty crap we're used to.

http://features.teamxbox....xclusive-Level-Reveal/p1/

It's a new level! Looks a bit similar to Emerald Coast in SA. Any idea what country this is supposed to be? I'm guessing South America, because of the ruins giving me a livin' lavida loca feel. This one could be in the win for potential favourite level... the daytime part anyway.

Nice. I notice some platforming in regular Sonic stage. For those who can't see the video here the You Tube version.

Edit-The japanese website has been updated with Chip and Eggman profile.

Nice. Eggman's Sonic Channel pose.
