hah he looks even more like sullivan from Monsters Inc. He just needs horns on his head.
Not my favorite Sonic game. Ok game, not a good Sonic game at all though. The werehog was not a great idea.
HIS NAME IS GEORGE AND I WILL PAT HIM AND LOVE HIM WITH ALL MY HEART...
Ahem... very Looney Tunes, I think I would have preferred this version over the final one. Final version looks too serious. Or something like that.
If I didn't have a couple of Live Arcade games lined up to get, I would consider getting the DLC.
Really glad that they are adding some new levels though.
That's cool. Maybe I'll actually get some Microsoft points and get them in about a month.
I'd also rejoice a little more if they were all daytime levels.
4 more Sonic stages?
As much as I disagree with buying extensions to a game you already own (heaven knows I didn't have to when I got the SA1 Christmas pack or the SA2 race tracks expansion back on DC) the idea of getting some extra play out of the day stages is irressistably enticing.
The day stages were the best part of the game. Well, except when a failed QTE off a ramp costs a life. I really hated that in Empire City, Adabat, and that one part in Eggmanland. *shudders*
Yea, that did get pretty annoying later in the game, especially during Hotdog missions. I preferred the QTEs in the earlier stages, where you'd just get sent to a lower, longer route.

Just bought and played them. Just a bunch of badly placed obstacles and pitfalls. I feel like I wasted my money, personally, but to the few who like the trial and error gameplay, it might be of interest.
Which one? The one in the beginning? After riding the roller coaster? After the tube sections? After that part where you had to do some platforming and the game sends you into the track (almost at the end)? All of the above?

I don't know. This guy make them look pretty easy.

I have no idea. That stage was so long I don't know where it was. D:

Hahaha, wonder how many times he died to get that good on the level.
Give me a Metal Sonic skin and Sega, you can have my internet money.
Most likely, they'll give you more hard mode and werehog levels.
I don't understand what you've got against VGChartz. Both they and NPD use some kind of representative sample to project sales don't they? As I understand it their sample is smaller but it seems to agree with any official source within a reasonable amount. It's not like you need to be exact within 10% to learn how a game is doing in general.
It's pretty absurd that this is the best SEGA can come up with even after they acknowledge their lessons. There will probably never be a Sonic game even approaching the Genesis until game development becomes so accessible that some group of fans can make it.

Maybe this has something to do with it.
People are just sticklers for accuracy, aren't they?
I'm sure no one else mentione this. But remember in the 2 player treasure hunting mode in SA2, Tikal had an attack called Wrath of Gaia? And what's with [spoilers]Dark Gaia and Chip being the Light Gaia[/spoilers] could it be a subtle connection that could have been in an early development of Unleashed or just a co-inky-dink
I think you may be giving the writers at Sega more credit than they'd be due. The concept of "Gaia" is fairly universal. And Tikal? If she were human, she'd be a Flower child.
And like any flower in the path of a encroaching war engine, she was soon to be trampled upon.
...
i made myself sad 🙁
Wait, so are these new daytime levels actual levels or just the cruddy Act 2+ ones that were long difficult stretches over a bottomless pit? Are the werehog levels actual levels?
Meh. Like I have the money to buy these, anyway.
KAWAIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ^.^

That does explain it rather well.
http://marketplace.xbox.c...-1000-9115-d80253450812/ Unleashed is going to have downloadable levels? Heh. I'm just now hearing about this.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkoXZwDHzqo&feature=related I guess this is a neat way to extend the games life span.
Apparently there's new download content for Spagonia out now on Xbox Live. It's probably similar to the last one, so save your points for somthing more worthwhile like Virtual On and Outrun!!!
Ha, I actually just bought a points card just for Outrun.
All of those side missions seem like a waste of money. Even if it is only a couple of bucks. In my opinion 95% of the DLC for anything is a waste of money.
The Holoska Adventure Pack is out now on X-Box Live.
And here's a video of one of those stages! Makes me want to buy a hard drive to simply buy them all.
Dang. Well, it it's just those trial and error one-wrong-move-and-you're-dead stages that they're gonna release, then I'll pass. I want something that's fun, like all the Act 1 daytime stages, not like the just-for-the-challenge optional Act 2s and 3s.
Actually, there are some stages that are not of that variety, like this one. I can't say about the rest.
Actually, that one came off as another gimmicky challenge stage too. It was just speed ramp after speed ramp. Oh well.
Thought I'd bump up this topic to mention that PSN now has the Spagonia and Chun-Nan adventure pack for about 3 bucks (just off the top of my head). I don't think the Holoska pack is available yet, but I could be wrong.

I made it about 30 minutes into Eggman Land before getting a game over. Needless to say I won't be attempting that crime against gamers for another month. In the meantime, I've been playing all the gimmicky challenge acts and leveling up skills.
Eggmanland is the longest level ever. Once you beat it, you will never want to play through that thing ever again. I think it cost me more than 50 lives and probably 5 hours of wasted time over the course of a couple of weekends. I finally managed the entire level in about 74 minutes or so with a C rank. Level up skills all you want. You'll probably need them.
Of course, you can't ask me for tips on that stage because I've only ever played it once. What I will say is that more than half of that stage is Werehog crap. If you don't like Werehog crap, then... good luck. You'll probably need it. XD
I didn't really think that Eggmanland was all that hard. My first time took about an hour and thirty minutes to get through, but the second time I tried it, I got through in about 25 to 30 minutes, give or take, with an A.
As frustrating as Eggmanland is at times I really loved the challenge. I mean, when was the last time the last level of Sonic seemed intimidating? Eggmanland = Awesome.

Eggmanland reminded me of a Halo level. I dont know why but it just did.
The most infuriating parts for me were the bobsleigh section and the long tightrope section over lava.
Also, after god knows how many time of trying I have given up on the "Find Samia" mission on Dust Hill Zone. The level is too long and the time limit is too short.

You most likely have mad mad skillz. I fail at platform stuff in general, and this game was no exception. XD
Yeah, it was mainly the werehog sections that got to me. Need to upgrade the life and strength. I got my game over in a Sonic section, though. Can't remember which. The problem is that whenever I tried to home attack on something, I'd end up boosting into oblivion instead.
This level proves that the whole lives system is redundant at this point, though, as half the time they keep a 1-up right after those checkpoint posts.
It looks like someone took Apatos and smashed it with Eggmanland. o_O
The addons seem to just be remixes of the main levels. I wish they were entirely new... even if it wasn't canon.
Whoo boy ... imagine the fun and impending lawsuits if they started selling these!
... but seriously I want one. With a cushion it can be a really comfortable foot stool.

*Imagines someone sitting on it only to be blasted through the ceiling.*
But yeah, that thing looks sweet. WANT.
Sonic City Blognik reveals a patch that might led to secret areas DLC. Also it seems the new patch has helped kick out the Nazis from Holoska.
Eggmanland...taking upwards to an hour and a half for some to complete? !!!!
That's ridic. That one level alone is like...25 percent of a usual Sonic game. Nah not really...but wow that's insane, never knew such a level existed. *goes to look it up on youtube or something*
Mazuri DLC is out on X-Box Live.
Sounds pretty neat!
