I've only just found these pictures, and it has a striking resemblance to the new character in Sonic X's episodes 53 and onwards.

This was being being talked about a while ago in this thread, however it appears to have been distroyed by the ezbug.
Since the 78th episode finished airing quite a while ago and Sonic Shuffle came out years before that... yes, it is old news.
Those characters in the pictures you link are Void and Lumina. They have nothing to do with Cosmo (the character in Sonic X).
We have two or three topics already dedicated Sonic X, so I don't see why you made a new one. o_O (I've only just noticed how far down the pages they've gotten.)

I'll hazard a guess at the Chaotix episodes, as that's the only thing in either series remotely related to Sonic Heroes.
