I can't beleive nobody's thought of this before... or if they did, that it hasn't lasted for, like, ever.
The rules are as thus:
1. Any Sonic game is applicable. (Anything starring Sonic, Shadow, Tails, or Knuckles, I suppose...)
2. Past records do not apply, unless they are logged within the save data. (This is to prevent 'fishing stories...')
3. Be accurate. If the game holds time records by the millisecond, try to post that if you can.
4. Records concerning seperate characters are counted as the same. (There will be no difference in completing Angel Island zone with Sonic or with Knuckles, for instance. It would be too complicated otherwise)
5. In order to keep this from getting far too big to even hope to log, only the first levels on a 'mission' apply. (This is subject to change if I can find a means to better keep this logged)
6. Action replay or gameshark codes should not apply. Neither should glitching. Things intended by the programmers to occur (such as the '23-second bonus'{did I get that right?} on Sonic 3 and Knuckles) do count to the bonus. If you are unsure whether something is okay, post what you did when you post your times and we'll (who is this 'we' anyway?) judge it.
7. Be truthful! If, by some strange circumstance, we are able to find out you cheated, you will be banned from this thread for the remainder of its existance.

Um... this is a good idea, but it seems kind of useless since the forum is about to move to Eliteboard in a week or two?

I was going to make this thread for that, but because this forum is being put down soon I didn't bother. ^^;
I think it would be a great idea if somebody started one. Maybe a sub-forum on the Eliteboard so we can make different threads for each respective game. Perhaps the first post can be edited to show who has the highest score in each act, and so on.

Okay it seemed fun so I tried it.
I played sonic 3(is that okay?) with sonic. on the PS2s mega collection.
Angel island:
Act 1= 71100 3:27
Act2 = 81000 3; 57
Special stages: 56500 / 75700 / 78900 (I got three emeralds in the first zone)
Metropolis:
Act 1 = 86100 4:30
Act 2 = 94100 7:39
SS: 89100 / 93000 (2 emeralds)
Marble zone:
Act 1 = 100900 7:31
Act 2 = 109000 9:17
(no emeralds)
Carnival night:
Act 1 = 114110 4:53
Act 2= 11000 1:12 (I got sonic killed a lot, the last time was when the time ended so I used a continue..that means its over 10 minutes not one minute , I really hate that level I never got through it easily even when I was a kid)

Ice cap:

Act 2 = 27400 3:40 (one emerald)

Launch base:

Act 2 = 10600 7:21 (this level was very confusing I got lost a lot and the spike doors always caught sonic)
I finished within 3 hours, my score is pretty low but I really had fun playing sonic3. I hope someone else plays it so Id know how far ahead or behind I am
