To anyone who's thinking about potential gapping plothole, I don't think they WILL need to bring Dark Gaia back into the picture for a potential Sonic Unleashed 2. Look at these shots from the games ending:
So Chip disintergrates, leaving his green orbed coller/neck-ring thing, which Sonic then picks up and finds it convieniantly fits on his wrist.
All I'm saying is that if there will be any Sonic Unleashed 2, you can probably expect Chip's ring to be the source of Sonic's Werehog powers.
It beg's the question, if this is the case, was this Sega's intention from the start? The news about the werehog returning came out quite soon after the game's release after all. What do we think?
Continuity? In a Sonic game? Is there such an animal?

XD
Seriously though, continuity isn't that bad in the Sonic series. There was a fair bit of follow-on between Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2. And to be fair most games recently have been self contained anyway, so... yeah! What?
That's a pretty good theory, Blue. It makes me wonder... I think you may be right.
And about my comment on the Werehog being a bad idea to bring back, well, it looks like Sega's making this shovelware for the kiddies, and the kiddies love it, so you know what, in Sega's twisted mind, Werehog 2 would be a good idea.
Wait- hold up... aren't I a kiddy?
Yes. Yes you are.
I think there was another topic where another user said that the bracelet/ring Chip left Sonic in the end of Unleashed could give him Werehog power... IDK.
That may have actually been me if it was only recent, like within the last week.
Kinda a double post on seperate topics. Didn't know what else to do since they were both relative. My bad.
Yeppers, it was you.
