What Im talking about is a sonic movie. A actuall proper one that everyone will see and hear because yes I know there has been a sonic movie kind off. They keep making new games with new story lines and graphics have advanced enough to make something awesome looking, am I right or am I wrong? This might have already been discussed in earlier topics/pages and I haven't looked so dont moan or anything for a bring back ok. Im sure of most people I ask , they want a game related movie that doesn't suck, so why not a sonic one?they have plenty of stories to use dont they?

Hi, thanks for making the fifty-millionth thread about a possible Sonic movie.

If the story makes for a good movie, then that story may as well be used for a good game.

Welcome to the MoFo, Static. Rishi, be nice. I doubt he knew.

Welcome StaticNeko!

While I don't agree that a good movie story would necessarily be a good game story, I would prefer better written games.

To be honest I don't think that the characters can actually support a good movie plot, and either new characters or OOCness would not work. The primary function of the characters and universe is to look cool and every time they try to make it do anything else they fail.

Well, I suppose pacing would be an issue, and if you were trying to make the movie story work for a game, you'd need excuses for Sonic and friends to spend half an hour running around the Generic Area Zone.

But to put what I said better, I'd just prefer better written game stories as well. Make something besides the music good.

As for actual movies, I still stand by what I said in the last movie topic. I'd just prefer "Night Of The Werehog"-styled shorts.

Nope. I rather have a good game than a good movie.

Have to be honest. I just don't see myself sitting through a 2-3 hour Sonic Movie, especially one that got the " Hollywood Treatment ".

One thing I could say I enjoyed from them was " Night of the Werehog ". I also enjoyed the small miscellaneous cutscenes you can unlock throughout Sonic Unleashed. If they were to do anything animation-wise for the series I wouldn't mind them releasing a few 5-10 minute shorts with each new game they produce. If there's one thing I have to commend them for besides the quality of their music it's the quality of their cutscenes. Very neat cutscenes, there.

HELL YES! MEGAMAN LEG-

I'd probably explode with an unspeakable happiness ... and I'm not a very happy person.

Their cut scenes are good because Blur studios does them. I was hired by them for a short job and noticed allot of Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic art work in their hall ways. I thought hey, those are scenes from those terrible games. Never would have thought Americans were making them.

Yeah, I think we all agree that they should perfect the in-game story telling before they approach the idea of a movie. The last game story that didn't suck so much was Sonic Adventure 2. Anything with Alternate Dimensions/Eggman Nega/excuses to include Silver fails where I'm concerned, which is a shme because I've grown kind of fond of Blaze.
However, if Sonic was to venture into other media outside of games, I thing a better choice instead of a movie would be a TV series. One that doesn't suck like Sonic X does. Just a series of 20 minute mind-comas that idiotic kids can enjoy as well as fanboys and fangirls. Or better yet more SegaSonic-centric OVAs.
