What if Tails died in Episode 12 of Sonic X? Here goes: Tails' X-Tornado crashed to the ground, the glass window shattered and the pieces impaled into Tails' heart, killing Tails in the process. What will the future Sonic X episodes be without Tails? What will happen to the Blue Typhoon and Cosmo?
Well, without Tails the bigger concerns would be getting through the SA1/2 arcs. Without the X-Tornado, they wouldn't have got to the Egg Carrier during the sky chase, to save Amy and the whole thing with the fake chaos emerald couldn't have happened.
So... hmm. No fake chaos emerald means that Sonic dies when Eggman shoots him into space. He doesn't defeat Biolizard, ARK crashes into Chris' Earth, everyone dies. The end.
And the entire universe will be destroyed by the Metarex.
That depends if their "wipe out all life" tree planet plan was their only objective, in which they would need the Chaos Emeralds which were safely in Chris' dimension and possibly just buried in the post ARK rubble.
But it would probably be a lame situation. Kind of like "If no one went to Namek after Saiyan Saga, Earth would be safe, but Frieza would still be a dick taking over planets"
Dying from glass shards is a pretty lame way to die if you're in a plane crash. Kinda like getting shot and dying from lead poisoning.
Next week on Sonic X, Knuckles gets shot and dies from lead poisoning.
Just goes to show you how integral all the characters are... except Chris... He just stole Amy's love scenes with Sonic.
"What if Tails dies on episode 12 on Sonic X?"
Then the FCC would have a fit, some people would say that 4KIDS grew some "balls" and the small audience that watches 4KIDS TV would be scratching their heads wondering why would they kill off Sonic's sidekicks (Knowing he'll most likely come back from the dead five episodes later).
Or to put a better question. Where do you come up with these questions?
Medicinal induced curiousity.
Silly Gamma, Sonic X has a few death scenes in it already, 4kids just gloss them over, the original versions, whether they Japanese or French. These are the people who made Maria's death a capture. If Tails died he'd have just splashlanded and not shown up anymore.
There were those jet pilots who 'shploded. There were no parachutes...
Also, "died"? Ep. 12 of Sonic X is far from a future occurrence.

See, that's the crazy @$$ stuff I was referring too. No so much Tails dying, but how he put it in such a needless graphic illustration ,even for a Saturday Morning show aimed towards kids that's really... needless. :/

*High fives* Correct grammar ftw.
Well....this is an odd question. But I believe it can be said that without Tails even Sonic would loose to Eggman.
Which is why Tails needs more respect!

Sonic 1 and CD would like to have a word with you.
Or are we just referring to SX?
I was mostly refering to Sonic X. But there are times in the games where Tails was definately needed like in SA2. So I think its safe to say that Sonic would loose to Eggman without him still.
As early as Sonic 2, for example, when Tails was responsible for flying Sonic (or Sonic flying Tails) onto the Wing Fortress and subsequently the Death Egg.
Logically, if Tails was killed in action during the early portion of Sonic X, Chuck would be forced to become the team's lead scientist, and Sonic would have to once again take the helm on the Tornado. Perhaps Chris could be trained to pilot the Tornado when Sonic's abilities are needed elsewhere, becoming a useful member of the team much earlier in the story.
The question's flawed on the basis that Tails is immortal, why do you think he wasn't there on the Death Egg? Clearly it's because the God of the Sonic verse knew his immortal fox child freak would make it far too easy, he'd just fly back down from heaven if he were to die.
Also I agree with Gamma, the question seems needlessly graphic and just conjures up bad angst ridden fan fictions I've experienced.
Or to put a better question. Where do you come up with these questions?
That's what I want to know. You pose ridiculous questions that literally nobody cares about (see: "what if nicole was destroyed during satam's second season?") without really offering any reason as to WHY we should care. Not really a topic worth discussing...

I'd be very upset if Tails died... But of course, he'd still come back. In the history of all of Sonic, a main character has only died twice: Shadow, when he fell from space; and Blaze, in 06. Both of these characters, however, were brought back from the dead. Does anyone else see a patern here or is it just me?
Sonic, in Sonic 06.
Also came back.
Forgot about that...
Shadow only came back due to his popularity.
Gamma died, technically anyway, his souless clones were in Battle but, you know, he was a robot...
In the comics, Knuckles died, but also came back to life...

I did not die, but lost my internet connection- Oh wait, you mean the Robot.
... Carry On...
Sonic, in Sonic 06.
Also came back.
*Runs at Toby with really large scissors* ERASE THAT FROM YOUR BRAIN NOW!
Wasn't there some teasing about Tails dying in Chronicles or something?
Metal Sonic in Sonic CD.
Wasn't a character meant to die in Sonic Rivals 2?

XD! Silly, silly.
But yea Zero from Sonic Adventure too. 😛 And even though we never actually see Tikal die...she's kinda pulling a Patrick Swayze, eh? As well as Pachamac and the rest of that echidna civilization. Oh! And Gerard Robobotnik[geez talk about violent...he died execution style SA2's edgy darkness ftw ] and Maria. Ok...apparently this list could go on and on...

They all came back from the dead, just no one knows that yet.
Don't forget Emerl. His death scene in both Battle and Sonic X is absoloutely heart breaking.
I loved that little guy ;.;
Gemerl... I know, not exactly the same, but close enough.
Oh come on you guys. Do Robot characters really count?
Not really, no...

Robots have feeling too, ya know!
Terg's not here, you don't have to say that.

Hey, screw you guys ;.;
Emerl had more character than 90% of Sonic characters are allowed. We saw him grow from a lifeless being into a rude cool dude who called Amy mom, teased Knuckles and learned about pacifism from Cream.
When you kill him at the end of the game he is all "it hurts! I don't want to die!"
If the lil' guy has learned to appreciate and fear what death is then he counts. *folds arms*
Sonic X version less so, but he still cries as he dies because his best friend is the one who iced him.
How can something has more personality then another when all it did was just copy said second person's personality.
Because it copied many personalities, which gives Emerl more than the rest of them. It's in the math, I guess.
Each of them has a pathetically simple personality, a shard of a soul, if you will. Emerl goes around, collecting these shards, and builds an complete personality by combining them. =D
A Master personality, if you will.
And there are seven 'friends' from which it assimilates and unifies their personalities.
Their way of life, enriched by what's in their hearts.
"Emerl: By your personalities combines, I am Emerl!"?
BY THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP
I HAVE THE POWER

Gamma's death was much more moving than Shadow's, Sonic's, and Blaze's "deaths".

Hmmm... I was hoping for a dragonball reference, but I guess this'll have to do...
A lot of kids would cry. What do you think? I'm glad this character-driven program did not have to stoop to such lows.
I'm not a kid... but I would cry...
