What do people reckon? I love the old mega drive games myself, more than the new stuff.

OK - I thought Sonic 2 knocked the first game into a cocked hat; loved Sonic 3 even more with its flash graphics, and sonic and Knuckles. I've tried the PC games, and Gamecube, and they just haven't captured that essesnce of Sonicism. for me, anyway.
Moving this to SI, since I think the existing topic got decimated in the hacking.

Hmm...for me i'd have to say Sonic 2 had that huge wow factor on me. S3&K may be a better game(IMO) but S2 was so crazy coming after Sonic 1. I mean S2 introduced the SpinDash afterall. Game.Set.Match. *someone uses his head as a drum*
