hey anyone hear anything about when SONIC ADVENTURE 3 will come out?! I heard it might be on a new Sega console called SUPER DREAMCAST but Im not even at all sure about that since SEGA lost the hardware thing in 2002. and I also heard that when SONIC ADVENTURE 3 (hearing this about 3 years ago) comes out there will be these new gems call ERAOS EMERALDS.if this game comes out I hope its the unique fun Adventure style that they had on SONIC ADVENTURE DX!!!

Sega don't make consoles anymore and never again. The Sonic Adventure series ended 2 years ago. There wont be a 3, only new Sonic titles, like Heroes, Rush, Shadow the Hedgehog and such.

Craig was right, Sega no longer creates Consoles, and they have no further plans to make any more. As for SA3, there was a hoax game, showing Super Sonic on the cover of the game, surrounded by emeralds. That game was false, and was never really created.

Now we have the crap that is Sonic Heroes. At least the Gameboy Advance games good. Sonic Rush is shaping up to be pretty good as well.

And Sonic Adventure 3 is a launch title for this system, along with "GG Allin's magical adventure" and "IRS: The Game". There will be a new character and a new style of power the heroes can draw from.

No, seriously, I don't know what you mean. If you're wondering what the story would be like, it's impossible to say, because it would be a concept original to the game that was never hinted at in prior games, just as Chaos and Project Shadow were.
I would like a game that is driven by story and character, along the lines of Sonic Battle, substituting fighting bits with high-speed platformer bits.
It's a shame no-one seems to like Shadow's story or his character, because thats exactly what you're going to get with THAT game...

It's funny you say that- Shadow's my 2nd favourite character. I just think there's too much stuff to remember. No matter how much times people tell me the story of Shadow, I just don't understand. I usually get lost at the part where 'some guy named professor gerald created a hedgehog named shadow' I bet even that's wrong...
Sonic Adventure 3 would be a dream come true (that and Shenmue 3, and a new Sega console), I'd give almost anything for those. I'd like SA-style story/adventure sections combined with all the gameplay that was improved so much for SA2, and more, it would be great! Well, maybe Shadow the Hedgehog will fill the gap, we can only hope...

I remember the Knuckles Adventure hoax. It was a little while ago. If I remember correctly, it was going to have the Chaotix characters in it. There's always hope that they would make a game like that on the Dreamdeluxcast system. I heard that the Dreamdeluxcast will use new technology, it will run off human souls. It's only a rumor though, and you should always believe every rumor you hear.

So, by that logic, I could take Bugs Bunny, make him black and red, give him a backstory full of holes and inconsistancies which make no sense whatsoever to anyone who pays attention during the cutscenes; and he would be a better and cooler character?
Shadow is just a recolour of the SA1 Super Sonic model, with slight editations, a different running animation and a temporal vortex of a storyline which threatens to collapse and swallow the entire Sonic fandom up unless Shadow the Hedgehog makes sense of the bull that's been served on a plate to us since day one.

You're right, Shadow is just a recolour. But I still prefer him to Sonic. If it wasn't for his utterly SUCKING survival story in Archie - all of their survival stories lately involve aliens - I'd like him in that too.
And his character was thought about for Adventure. Sonic Heroes was kinda crap anyway.

I think Sonic Team said that they deliberatly left Shadow's story open and unexplained, and that Shadow the Hedgehog will have multiple storylines and allow the player to decide what to make of Shadow. I hope they pull it off well because it sounds like a good idea.
And then there's the problem of having multiple endings depending on what you do during the gameplay and story. It should add plenty of replay value if the gameplay's good, but that's not exactly what I'm worried about...
Thing is, will there be a definite canon ending? Knowing Sonic Team, however, this probably won't be answered and we're be stuck with multiple endings, not knowing which one happened while we're dicussing the most likely ending as well, constantly waiting for the final answer to this "mysterious" question.

If they make a Shadow the Hedgehog 2, which they may well if it makes good moolah, they'll have to decide which is genuine - unless it's like an expansion pack and you carry on with the ending where you left off.
They're trying to cater to all the ideas of what happened after SA2. Unfortunately there's a large number of endigs to cater for.

I loved him in Sonic Battle...
I liked the ideas but HATED the way that the concepts were being thrown around with no explanation at all in Sonic Heroes.
It's not the mood or the angst that attracts me to him, it's the dynamic. It's taking Sonic and making him into someone who doesnt HAVE that restrictions, he doesnt NEED or WANT to pull his punches.
The guns and motorbikes are a natural next step along the path, it looks like Shadow will be a melee of "Whatever you can get your hands on, use it."
I dont think the plot holes in SA2 are THAT big, although how he survived, who's the real Shadow and so forth needs explaining. I do admit, that he's a character who ought to be controlled more.
Like Amy, when he's used properly and develops the storyline he's great, but when he's there just for the sake of being there he REALLY gets on your nerves.
I'd like to get this whole plot over and done with so we can finally move on.

Now i've yet to play Sonic CD, but the official ending was the Good Future...am I correct?(probably not lol) Anywho was it announced that, that ending(which ever one it might be) was the official one? If so then the rest of what i'm about to say is pointless and i'll feel rather dumb. Anywho Good = Sonic;therefore, the Good ending is the right one. Now with Shadow all we need to know is what was he made to do...bring hope to humanity or avenge Prof. Gerald? In that case if he's made to avenge Prof. go with Aliens(Good), but if he's supposed to be a good(notice the g word) guy side w/Sonic(Good). Bugs Bunny will always be the classical cool bunny in my eyes. You cannot make him cooler. Reminds me of the horrrid 'New Bugs' flash on Newgrounds.
And I do agree with Craig, as I am one person who loathe the Shadow character from top to bottom. His origins are dreadful, and there are the points Craig stated above. But I guess it's course of opinion.
