ok, i know that sonic 2 and sonic 3 were made by sega technical institute, those two games were the first appearances of tails and knuckles, so did s.t.i come up with them? or did sonic team help... or something? please help!
Tails is a refrence to a kitsune that had a name despute but was settled for both thanks to sneeky programing and Knuckles is an aftershock of a Nike arrangement gone bad. What's not to get?
Takashi Yuda and Yasushi Yamaguchi, respectively.
Aftershock of a Nike arrangement?
That's interesting.
That was the explanation for his necklace, as I recall.
In fact, I recall the same interview saying that Knux started as green, but was changed to red at the behest of little kids. I'm not even commenting on how Ken Penders took that and turned it around (sans little kids' behest)... wait, I just did. Crap.

Unless you're reading Sonic the Comic.
who are Takashi Yuda and Yasushi Yamaguchi? are they sonicteam employees?
Knuckle's chest design doesn't look like the ol' Nike symbol at all o_O
Maybe they just really wanted to sue someone...
ok, so is it s.t.i, or sonicteam?

Well, the way I got it, originally, Knuckles' white mark was going to be a Nike symbol as a tie in promotion for some shoes or something. However, the deal fell through, and the white mark was already too far into production to be stopped so they simply changed it to the ring we have now.
How lame would that have been? OH YEAH I'M FROM AN ANCIENT CIVILIZATION BUT NIKE MADE ME IN A SWEATSHOP.
Rofl, yes that would have been hella lame.
I see now...
And that's why Knux's shoes are so cool?
I totally remember thinking "Wow, Sonic and Tails' shoes suck balls - but Knux has AWESOME shoes!" (Why I thought that god only knows.)
sorry gents but that still doesent answer the big question, was it sti or sonicteam? or both?
It's not really important - they were employees of Sega, and therefore fair game.
It'd more likely be Sonic Team since they're Japanese (as opposed to the American Sega Technical Institute), but really, who CARES what team they were part of? It's the men themselves that count when it comes to something as personal as character design.
i just wanna know, could somebody give me an answer please?
I just did.
sti made sonic 2 and 3 i was just wondering if they created tails and knuckles.
if anyone knows which team came up with those characters please tell me.
I Invented Tails and Knuckles!
Takashi Yuda and Yasushi Yamaguchi are the devil!
just felt like putting that in there 😀
well at least were getting somewhere!
For the second time, I already told you.
not really, i just want proof of who created those two characters, is that so hard to ask?
That wasn't what you were saying.
If it's sources you wanted, then I got it from Wikipedia. I know they're not the most reliable in the world, but those names generally match the ones I remember.
ok sorry for the confusion i will check it out.
Yasushi Yamaguchi, originally the main artist and zone designer for Sega's Sonic Team, designed Tails and knuckles is made by Takashi Thomas Yuda another member of the sonicteam, i guess they helped sti make both sonic 2 and 3! sorry for th confusion guys, problem solved!
Maybe its time to tell you that you can edit your posts.
o sorry! i forgot! iyll remember next time i promise!
also, how do you quote?
Use quote tags [.spoiler] without the periods of course. [/.spoiler]
where do i get quote tags?
quote tages are on the side when you post, in the insert column. Between 'email' an 'center' buttons.
Or In ezcode you can just type quote /quote inclosed in []. If html format is on then use <> as brackets instead of []. Does this help?
i cant figure it out! is it just ok if i say the person im talking to's name? or do people not like that?
one more time. type [.quote]This is how quotes work[/.quote]
now remove the period from that sentence and it becomes like this
Quote:
This is how quotes work
I don't think I can make it any clearer. ^^;
