Okay, a lot of people miss the Chao Garden. A lot of people also don't, but let's not argue over whether or not this is a useful element for the series or not.

I think a Wii Ware Chao game would be pretty kickin, especially since it ties into the kind of audience Nintendo's trying to reach. I had a number of ideas for it, too...

- Same basic set up as the SA/SA2 gardens; hero garden, general interaction is the same
- New quest mode in the style of the old VMU mini-game, allow you to collect money, fruits, befriend animals, or find Chaos Drives
- Store offers the same items, cycles from week to week, giving variety
- Option to customize/build your own garden; download pieces of architecture or furniture, buy them from store, choose to be a hero or dark garden
- Trade Chao, items, architecture/furniture on-line
- Different games other than the old races; give your Chao a new "intelligence" statistic to go with puzzle oriented games. Chao does the puzzle but you help by cheering on. Also affected by friendship with the Chao

Any thoughts?

Or how about one based on those Chao in Space ads we seen in the stages?

While I like the idea of a stand alone Chao raising game, I would rather it be on the DS.

I do like the idea of building custom Chao gardens though.

I just recently got two of mine in SA2:B to evolve into Hero Chao.

Now I'm working on two Dark Chao, one of which is going to be a red Reala Chao.

Stand-alone chao raising game?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

If there's gonna be a chao game you better play AS the chao, not WITH the chao.

Thirded.

And if a Wii Ware Chao game looked anything like Pokemon Ranch then no.

The whole point of chao in the games was to be able to go ahead and make a chao that looks cool and whatnot, and then go have it race/fight. That was great. For a mini game.

I don't want to buy a game where I raise a chao, and then watch it do stuff. Having the game in a VMU format would be great, in which there's little stories and such. But the VMU was not a game where you sit down and stay with it the whole time. Hells no. When you were playing on that VMU you just had the chao walking, then you waited for the little beep and then you got to read something, hopefully amusing. While it was fairly fun in that sense, it didn't merit an entire game.

I'd say it'd probably be more like an RPG if it'd actually be a good game. Chao already is a sortof RPGish thing, and if it's going to get its own game it's gonna need to take it up to the next level.

I don't wanna watch a game, I wanna play one. >_>

Enough

My ship sails in the morning, I wonder what's for Dinner.

While I do like the Pokèmon Ranch look, I have to agree with John Taylor about this.
Also, I'd also much rather it be a DS title with wi-fi support and all that. *w*

If i could have a little dark/shadow chao with a gun then hex yea!

but I agree that it would be better on DS then Wii-ware.

Good god that would be awesome... I especially love the cerating garden option, I love building stuff in games!

I had some fairly random ideas for a WiiWare [or Wii] Chao game, lamely titled 'Chao World':

New Animals

Polar Bears
Parrots [many varieties, including Amazons, African greys, Macaws etc.]
Snakes
Frogs
Scorpions
Kangaroos
Black Penguins
Fox / Kitsune [one tailed fox, two tailed fox and a three tailed fox]

Mushrooms
Kimonos
Flower Crested Chao

Mummy
Pumpkin Man
Mermaid
Dracula Bat

New 'Ultimate' Chao Form

New Hero Forms

Kitsune
Wizard
White Witch
Griffin

Silver The Hedgehog
Blaze The Cat
Marine The Racoon
Big The Cat

New Dark Forms

Vampire Lord
Black Witch
Kraken
Werewolf

Mephiles

New & Bigger Chaos Gardens

Space Garden
Ice Cap Garden
Dusty Desert Garden
Mystic Jungle Garden
Carnival Garden

Beginnings Chao Garden [based on the default Chao Garden from SA2]
Haven Hero Garden [based on Sky Sanctuary and SA2's Hero Garden]
Underworld Dark Garden [based on the Dark Garden from the Dreamcast version of SA2]

It'd also include a fantasy RPG like one player mode, but you'd train unique skills for the Chao in the normal raising section [perhaps?]

Not sure of anything more than raising, racing, karate and schooling for activities though other than... [Mech 'Kart' Racing, like the Chao ride mechs alike those seen in SA2 Battles' multiplayer?]
