Chaos and Black Doom are very different ends of the plot scale. Chaos was a water based guardian spirit who was enraged beyond control by ancient echidnas being jerkholes to his Chao, and was sealed away in the Master Emerald along with Tikal's spirit until Eggman (somehow) released him and let him become Perfect again.

Black Doom wanted to crash the Black Comet into Earth to use humans as enenrgy or something like that... the game was pretty dumb. And needed Chaos Control to get it through the atmosphere unscatched.

Given that Chaos was just angry with the world for pushing his Chao to the ground and Black Doom wanted to use his Black Comet to make Black Fuel for his Black Aliens... they don't mix too well.

If Rouge the Bat was not introduced in Sonic Adventure 2, which game do you think she should've been introduced in? Obviously, she would end up getting a different story-arc and character-arc. Does anybody have any ideas?

I don't know what you are trying to get at, but I can't imagine Rouge being introduced in any game other than Sonic Adventure 2.

Craig, Eggman destroyed the Master Emerald to set Chaos and Tikal free, or at least that's what I remember.

This is entirely the wrong forum for this question.

The answer is, we wouldn't have had the hilarious "You're really that government spy, Rouge the Bat! Aren't you?!" scene (which is funnier. The fact that she's undercover using her real name or that Shadow, having been frozen for 50 years, is up to date with GUN's agents) and the ridiculously difficult Amy vs Rouge battle in Sonic Battle.

That's about it.

She doesn't bring much to the table, besides giving the game series a dark replacement for Knuckles. This spot could have been filled any way, I'd say "By Nack/Fang" however he cannot glide, so despite being the same character as Rouge, he is not the same character (game wise) as Knuckles.

Really, she's fairly worthless. Her best plot tie to the game is that she's a GUN agent, and yet every game just has her treasure hunting of her own accord (Sonic Heroes for example, opening with her searching for Eggman's Treasure... instead of something logical... like her job, which is spying and espionage).

For future reference, topics relating to the Sonic videogames go in South Island. I like you, kid. You have a lot of enthusiasm and love for the games and I want more of that in this place, but if you keep posting in the wrong places and making unconstructive threads, you may get warned... and I'd hate to see that. You're a decent addition to the forum.

Here's my ideas:

Chaos in Shadow The Hedgehog:
When Dr. Gerald Robotnik and Blackdoom were attempting to create the ultimate lifeform they managed to extract Chaos from the Master Emerald and keep him contained. This is how those weird Chaos bubbles you see living on the ARK came to be and also how Dr. Eggman got the idea to revive Choas in Sonic Adventure. In the end they did learn from Chaos -- this is why Shadow is such an expert at Chaos Controll and all of his other related Chaos abilities.

If you got near the end of the game with Shadow as a dark/villian alignment then Chaos would show up as a surprise boss fight before the normal final battles. Shadow would understand his thoughts. Chaos says that since it was a reluctant party in the creation of Shadow that it feels it is it's duty to destroy Shadow as Shadow is a danger to the world. You beat Chaos, and it slinks away. Shadow figuers it might try to fight him again someday.

During the Final Story when Super Shadow has to fight Devil Doom, Shadow would figure out that some of DD's attacks are fatal, even when he's in Super Form. (Probablyb due to the fact Black Doom put blood/life/something into him.) Chaos makes itself present and splashes onto Super Shadow, giving Shadow a liquid armor around it. Shadow reads its mind and Chaos says that it wants to help Shadow for the good of the planet.

Rouge the Bat being introduced in a later game:

If I had to debuet her in another game, I'd choose Sonic Rush. I'd have Rouge be the Knuckles counter-part from Blaze's home dimension and also have her travel into Sonic's world. I'd have her assiting Eggman Nega but I would also have her secretly helping Sonic and Blaze more than anything. Since Blaze's story line in Rush was about making friends, I'd have a scene with Blaze and Rouge near the end of the game where Blaze asks if this means that they're friends. Rouge would counter with, "Maybe." and have her vanish. She'd pop up in Sonic Rush Adventure as well. In SRA she would be another rival searching for the treasure -- So it would be Sonic/Blaze vs. Pirates Vs. Rouge. Also, Rouge would also be racing you in the 'special zone' esque races, along with Johnny. If you lose, the emerald goes to Rouge and you have to do a re-race to obtain it.

I can't really imagine Chaos fitting at all in Shadow the Hedgehog as any sort of major character.

As for Rouge, Craig's comments are pretty much the truth, and I'm a bit of a Rouge fan. And we are talking about Sega's use, so far, of the character, not fan speculation.

If I were to choose a later game to "début" her in, it probably would be Sonic 2K6. She had one of the better deals as far as the Amigo Characters went. And she was generally likeable in the game.

What if Robotnik had built a second hand grabber machine from sonic 3 to fight sonic at final egg instead of using the egg viper?

He wouldn't be shunned and teased by other animals his age -- in fact, he'd be quite popular, because he's a nice guy and a handsome one tailed fox. But as a result, Miles would never spend the time alone in which he discovers he likes to use his brain to build/fix things and would instead but his natural intelligence into social intelligience. I could see him being a sort of phillosophical hero...Like he still crosses paths with Sonic, and Miles offers him advice, resources, and encouragement for fighting the big fight.

But the Sonic series would end at Sonic 2, because nobody would be there to catch Sonic when he was falling, so Sonic would plummet to his doom.

Unless he got all the emeralds, which is a hell of a lot easier without that damn fox in the way.

The whole Rouge the Bat supah spy thing. Sometimes in fiction spies use their real names because their egos' are too large to take on a trade name. They usually die though but....

To sort of answer my own "what if" I asked a friend at school what a game about Tails would be like. He said it would be like Conker's Bad Fur day without the swearing, blood, and toilet jokes.

What if sega wasn't incompetent when it came to hardware?
