AoC was a msn group that had a rousing success a few years back. We were rated the most active msn group at the peak of our run, around 2004. A few problems popped up, and we eventually shut down, primarily because of hacking. But now we're back, with new systems, people, and stories.
It's simple; create a character, train, and partake in epic battles and missions to save Mobia from the Robotnik Empire, as well as other diabolical threats. Your role in the story could very well change the fate of the world. Become a Jewel Hunter, a mercenary, whatever you may wish. But remember, it's always the darkest right before dawn!

As such, I wonder if you would be interesting in posting at this little community I happened across. Well I say little, it's actually quite large and busy, continually changing and growing. The members are in general fun loving and good humoured, but aren't above a little drama and in-fighting, but then again, who is?
They have boards for General Disscussion, in which anything goes and indeed, anything can and will go. Sonic boards in varities for both Comics and games, for true in depth disscussion. A bored for politics, all games, artwork, role-play and yes, even spam.

A subject I hope a lot of you here can relate to: frustration and disappointment at days' and weeks' and years' worth of role-plays snuffed out in an instant due to a database crash or server failure. RP has been a passion of my life for many years now, and having my home base of SonicVerse Team have its message board wiped three or four seperate times, taking a lot of our epic stories along with it, finally got to me, and I decided to do something about it.
Hosted at the collaborative artistic community of Crystal Plains, the RPTPS takes in role-plays from anyone willing to submit them, reformatting them into an easy-to-read table format in HTML, and providing them a safe and stable home where they are no longer in fear of falling to the Internet abyss. Since this board here recently experienced its own loss in the ezHack, I hope some of the players here can appreciate the effort going through into this.
The RPTPS project was just released as 'beta', meaning its still very rough around the edges and is in need of a lot more features to make it fully operational; but the intent is apparent.
If any of this sounds relevant to your interests, please take a look and leave your feedback. Lots of help is still needed to bring this project onto its feet, so please don't hesitate to offer your expertise.

In a distant, nefarious future, the Earth has been reduced to a handful of cities, and aside from these futuristic Edens, has become a godforsaken wasteland. Athens, the first new civilization and by far the most advanced, is a gilded prison for its citizens. A corrupt and depraved Government ruled by a fiendish monarch has turned what was once an unblemished paradise into a veritable nightmare.
In these, the most arduous times the world has seen since the third World War, there is but a single method of escape: sleep. All the worries of a broken past melt away once the eyes close and the breathing slows. In fact, one Athenian felt so emphatically about it, that he designed a device to ensure that not a single nights sleep would be lost to nightmares of the real world. What he didnt realize was that this Dreamscape device could, with the help of Magic not known to our world, lock-in to a mystical land of a separate realm.
Now, those rare and fortunate few that have been chosen by this Magic can break away from this life and experience the mystery and magic of Aspera. For them, every single night has become a Dream Quest.
Day by day, this RPG comes together, continually formed and molded by the wonderful writers already adventuring in these worlds of my creation. All right a couple of things going on that I'd like to announce with SonicVerse Team
First off we have a sprite comic contest going on, we have decided to accept some more sprite comics to our website. If you have one that you'd like to get onto an actual website then e-mail me at admin@sonicverseteam.com We will pick the best three and give them hosting rights on our site.
Of course we are always accepting drawn comics as well.
Secondly we are in search of some people with website design/coding skills who can help us on a new layout, you must be able to work with a team and know coding language of at least PHP.
Finally we are also looking for a graphic artist(s) to help us with designing new logos and images for the site, you will not be paid, this is all for free.

CP.net Data Transfer Surpasses 1GB

Late news, but worth noticing now.
Going over the transfer logs for my site, Crystal Plains.net, and noticed that we finally hit a milestone of the gigabyte mark. Bandwidth had been growing slowly since the site's remodeled opening in October 2005, but then peaked at around a half-gig that following May. After sporadic ups and down, however, traffic finally spiked this March, where it shot up exponentially to reach 900 megabytes in April, then 1.59 GB in May. This parallels a tripling of page requests as well as a doubling of individual hits.
All in all, we've transfered as much data in the first five months this year than we did in all of 2006.
Crystal Plains, being an art-oriented community site, has traffic very much related to the release of new projects. The bandwidth spike last year around May was directly linked to the addition of the Crystal Plains Wiki project, a MediaWiki-driven database of fictional events and characters created by the members of the site. This new and current spike accompanies the March limited-area message board reveal of the Role-Playing Thread Preservation Society and the creation of a new project, the VISIONS Online Card Game - this latter, being mostly image based, accounts for much of the increase in bandwidth.
Both the RPTPS and VISIONS will be given a formal reveal this October as part of the celebration of Crystal Plains' two-year anniversary. Details have yet to be announced for the other festivities.
If the current rate of bandwidth increases until the event's October 2007 date, data transfer could possibly reach 3 GB. It probably won't, but the members of Crystal Plains hope for the best.
Our hosting plan has us covered for 1,000 GB of bandwidth, though, so we definitely have the room to grow. Continue visiting the site and inviting your friends!

Does putting a Z at the end of a website title make it cool? You bet it does. "Hrowls and other such greetings all, this is just a topic to raise awareness of the Flashchat based Mobius Forum RP, known far and wide as the Lodge.
For those of you who are unaware, this forum, the Mobius Forum, has it's own RP setting, known as the Mobius Forum world, with a rich and interesting history (Although all this backstory is not necessary to join the fun.) For those who are interested in the backstory however, the information is here, it's worth a read, and full of fun facts and info.
The setting of the MFW is the one used for such board RPs as group missions, and occasionally other board RPs as well, as well as a setting for various fics and other stuff. It's also the setting for the continually ongoing Lodge RP hosted in the MFChat, an RP that, although not always strictly canon for GMs in the setting, utilizes it for the development of characters, some drama, some action, and above all, fun. If you have a character, and want to come along, establish them in the universe, or just have fun, why not pop in sometime and give it a go! The RPers are all in general friendly (and more than a little batty) and will be glad to welcome you into the fold, and help you get orientated or settled. Be it for one night or ten years. The Lodge usually runs between about 10pm (If it's an early start) GMT, and some drastic time in the morning when the night owls finally get bored and go to bed, or have to leave for breakfast, but popping in anytime for any length can usually guarantee some fun.

This is a forum-based game in the Starship Troopers universe. Most of our inspiration and sources come from the Pen and Paper RP, The Book by Heinline, The Roughneck Chronicles, The First Movie and the Third Movie (Sources were listed from the most influential to us to the least.) before you ask, no, this is not a 100% combat game. Combat is important, but an equal amount of time is spent developing characters and story lines.
Our story: It has been three months sense the success at Planet P and the capture of the Brain Bug (end of the first Movie.) From the first encounter with the Arachnids on Pluto all the way to this last campaign the United Citizens Federation has proven itself unprepared for a war of this caliber and magnitude. The scales will soon tip in our favor, Sky Marshall Maru is about to unveil the M1-A1 Personal Powered Armour Suit system. Lab testing had proved successful and the testing is now moving to full scale: Field test against an actual foe. 100 men and women have been trained in the operation and use of the suit, and soon they will be launched on their very first missions. With a new iron fist, Humanity shall become the dominate voice in all the known worlds!
You will be a member of a five man team with each man taking up a special role. While this is an RP based on war and conflict, battle is only one of our aspects. The Admin is always throwing NPCs out into the fold to bring in new story lines and draw upon different aspects of living in the UCF.
Everything needed to begin play has been finished, though there is still a certain amount of polishing being worked on currently. Please feel free to stop by and give us a look.
