I have some Death Note from Shonen Jump Weekly. I beleive it was the first part (if there IS any more) of Death Note (It's hard to tell, since I can't read Japanese...). But I can't beleive these things are WEEKLY. O.O LOOK AT THE SIZE OF IT.

yup, it's normal for phone-book sized manga books to be brought out weekly.
I have Manga! Just not with me at college.
I have random selections of different series, usually starting with just the first book.
If I remember correctly I have:
Fushigi Yuugi
Yu gi Oh
King of Hell
Ragnarok (I believe this one is Korean though)
Dragon Ball
Dragon Ball Z
Magic Knight Rayearth
You can kind of tell from these selections that I prefer a "fantasy/science fiction" genre, with a side of Action, drama and in some cases Romance (like fushigi Yugi, and DBZ, King of Hell and YGO have the action aspect). I'm not as big a fan of DBZ as I used to be though. And I'd like to get more manga but I'm poor. 
Yeah, Death Note just released its first volume, with a new one out every month.
And oh my Lord, that's a thick book. It's just as thick as the American Shonen Jump MONTHLY. o.o

Basically, Death Note is about some kid who finds a book that allows him to kill anyone by writing their name in it, and he decides to purge the world of all bad guys. o.o

Got up at eight to go to the bus for nine, and was getting irritated that the bus was AWOL for 40 minutes...until I called my sister, who informed me that it was 8:30, not 9:30. So I wated for the bus for an hour that I could have slept for.
At least I wasn't the kid who waited for two hours. >>;
