WHYYY?!?!?!?
Adam West >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Timmy Turner! ;____;
o.
Naw. I like the new batman better.
*replace Timmy Turner with Lassie*
*has no idea why*
In the meantime...
BANANAUT!
LIMANAUT!
SAILORNAUT!
(If anyone gets that reference, then they are masters of useless MoFo knowledge. 😛 )
Which new Batman? If you mean THE Batman. Your life ends just for saying "Like" and "The Batman" in the same sentance. Unless it is a negative like "I like to kill anyone who praises The Batman"
See when you finish watching the awful show your phone rings and I'll rasp "SEVEN DAYS!" and then kill you tomorrow.
It'd be better if you just stabbed your phone whilst speaking to him. Then you can pretend it came out the other end and skewered him.
And in that post, Craig affirms his status as god.
In other news, Ultra x Adam West, discuss.
That is SOOOOOO Freddy Kreuger, Ultra >.>
As for ye Crimsy-baby. I'm nothing special. Just someone who hates The Batman for ruining my chances of seeing Riddler in the Legion of Doom arc of JLU.
Fricken law and unspoken agreements ruining the best dang show since Gargoyles >.>
Which reminds me.
*emails parents to request Gargoyles DVD for crimbo*

He's too busy wondering whether or not he's actually 'Adam We'.

Never saw Nightmare on Elm Street.
*Laughs* I'll need infinite Willpower hax to survive being in America and not buying Gargoyles, Duck Tales AND Chip & Dale x.x
That sounds like a combination that would leave many an unsuspecting sap glued to his seat, drowned in drool as life's matters pass them by.
*paws at them*
Curse Disney for taking so long to cash in, then deciding to do it all at once.
CURSE THEM I SAY!
*Hugs Gargoyles Season One, and paws at Season 2 Vol 1*
*wonders what manga selection canada has, and if any would be in english* oo
i've never seen this gargolye-thingys being played on TV over here, but it seems pretty popular from all the fanart out there. oo was it only shown on satalite/cable?
It hasn't been on TV for a VERY long time. Toon Disney used to air it as filler in 2002-2004 but never properly.
It was originally aired when the Disney Channel first started, as a big seller, and went to ITV's morning shows later.
It's truthfully the best written kids show there ever was. The story is about Gargoyles who are stone by day, living creatures at night. They lived in a Scottish castle back during the Viking invasions, and due to an invasion, betrayal and alot of smashed rock, the entire race is wiped out leaving Goliath (main character), his mentor and 3 of the "teenage" Gargoyles (and their pet dog thingey).
Because of the events in the 5 part openner they get frozen in a stone sleep via spell "until the castle peaks the clouds" which was, in Medievil terms "Until the end of time"
However, 1996 and David Xanatos, Richard Branson of the world, with the tallest skyscraper in Manhattan has the castle (and Gargoyles) moved brick by brick to the top to awaken them.
The setting is that Xanatos is the "Villain" and they live in the castle (moving to the Police Watchtower later) and have only one human friend, Eliza Maza, a police officer.
It has ALOT of great moments, including the "banned" episode where one of the young Gargoyles learns the joys of movies and sees a Western. Like a small child he becomes infatuated with guns, and when visiting their cop friend he sees her gun in a holster on the coatrack and starts playing with it...
Accidentally shooting her in the back.
The series is most amazing in the way it has a constant continuity and the character development can be seen, such as that character always breaking and attacking people with guns; another one absoloutely DESPISING the Gargoyle "Villain" Demona because of the events of one ep, and a sweet little subplot of Hudson, the eldest, learning to read because when he was dying he found his way into a blind man's house and befriended him, learning he was an author.
Oh, and the show had ALOT of Shakespeare influence. Puck was a regular character and MacBeth (THE MacBeth) was a regular villain. Arthur Pendragon turns up in the second series, they go to Avalon and battle with Oberon with the help of Titania.
Seriously. Gargoyles was the PEAK of awesomeness.
And the comic series starts in a few weeks/months
*craig earns himself some cookies and icelollies for explaining all that to her* thanks, i can see now why it's been so popular. ^^
Oh yeah, I remember Puck. His alter ego was *TRAIN PASSES BY*
Noooo! He can't be *TRAIN PASSES BY*! I liked the train! He passed by a lot!
...wait, I have no idea what I'm saying, on the grounds that I don't watch Gargoyles. Or, really, anything other than Fullmetal. So...
Uh, isn't this Cooki's topic? Then why is my takeover still all over the subject lines (barring this post)?
The previous post was Cookie's as well.
Anyhow, Gargoyles was a good show. However, the art and story quality went downhill when it became a Saturday morning show titled 'Gargoyles: The Goliath Chronicles'. Meh.
Greg Weisman wasn't attached to the Chronicles series and it was aired and owned by FOX, could have been WB though.
Greg WAS attached to the first ep, which is why it's continuity heavy, contains the two in-joke characters (Vinny and The Jogger) and was actually good.
...wait, I have no idea what I'm saying, on the grounds that I don't watch Gargoyles. Or, really, anything other than Fullmetal. So...
OH. Well, let me tell YOU something about Fullmetal, mister!
I was looking up the second movie because Miyuu Sawai (PGSM Sailor Moon!) is lending her voice to it. And as I was looking through, I saw a a rather good looking anime man wearing Ed's clothes....who wasn't Ed!
I said to myself, "Whaaat?!" I had to get to the bottom of it.
Then I looked in the character profiles to find out who he was. And....I saw....he it I.......his full profile.....it was.................
OMG ME SO HORNY NOW FJHKSAFHDJKHDSKJF *nose gushes blood as her speech degenerates into fangirl squealing and incoherency*
*Blinks and backs away slowly*
*ditto* O_o;
*squirts Cookie with a hose*
*adds icecubes* oo;
*is sprayed*
.....Thank you.
*takes deeeeep breath*
*can't deside weather or not to change 'hose' to either 'nose' or 'horse'*
*squirts Cookie with a horse*
No, that would just sound wrong.
A HORSE OF COURSE
I'd be dead if I was squirted by a horse.
But....still.....Al.....wow.
The difference a few years in the timeline, Nazis and an OAV can make. @____@
Yeah, let's not get too far ahead of ourselves, Cooks. The anime has yet to even finish the third season of four over here on adult swim... I know SOME spoilers, but I'd rather limit the number I come upon.
Okay, that does it Cookie. PM me. What is it that you know about FMA that made you go bonkers.
Understood, SH.
I won't tell you about the toilet paper conspiracy to overthrow Charmin' as the official FMA toilet paper, then.*
*Uh, yeah. Toilet paper. Honest! >_>
: Eet ees ze conspiracee of ze SOVIET FRANCE! To replace ze flagrant Charmeen' with ze FMA-style toiylet paypair!
bah, dirt cheap asda-brand toilet paper is good enough for anyone not closer to another supermarket!
charmen you could use for bedding. o_o;
I use Scott, myself. :p
What wrong with just using a newspaper and a sponge on a stick?
(has finally seen what Cookie has seen)
What the? o.o
Now this is making me curious.
What could be so different to Full Metal Alchemist that could produce a double take?
Given Cooki's ranting, it involves yaoi or something.
Wasn't it Edward?
Given Cooki's ranting, it involves yaoi or something.
Not quite, but once it comes out in the US, I guarantee that the yaoi FMA fanfics will quadruple.
And it was bad enough with the Ed/robot Al incest stories! >___>
