Where's the "go nuts, I'll wait for you outside" choice?

2nded on Psx's choice if it were me.

But in my experiance they'll either follow me in but look pretty bored the entire time (THS) OR gush and enthuse on how amazing some of the shoes are (best friend).

Oddly enough... I would go about suggesting something... If only because I have some dress sense. /shrug

Well I like to think I'm a good friend/significant other so I'd stand by them, although rather than make suggestions I would probably crack jokes much to their dislike/amusement, depending on the type of person they are.

E: Locate pub

Go inside. Split up. Realize that there is less than one aisle of men's shoes in the entire building. Relocate spouse. Talk about RP until store is evacuated.

Fortunately I am happilly married to a person who knows damned well my fashion opinion is worthless and does not seek it. Therefore when clothes shopping happens, we split up.

Any other type, we normally stick together, but clothes of any kind and it's like "Okay, ou take the half store dedicated to women's fashions, I'll look at the half rack of suits".

If I needed some good sandals or other footwear for the beach, I'd probably be more interested; especially if they had Advanced Footwear Technology sandals (since the application of technology in footwear is always something that will get my attention, at least for a while; if I wasn't too old for it, I'd totally have shoes with the lights that flash in the heel).  But if I already had what I needed, and if I didn't know this female friend well enough to know what her tastes were, I'd probably be bored if I wasn't able to talk to said female companion during this expedition.

But assuming I know this companion well enough and we have enough things to talk about (and if we didn't have anywhere we needed to be at the time), then it might be a nice opportunity to talk while she's looking at footwear.  And if I know this companion REALLY well, we could easily transition from beach footwear to beach swimwear, which I would most definitely be interested in. =3

i thought about making a joke answer "Commit suicide" but i felt that might have provoked a strong reaction in the forum despite the fact that me posting in all lowercase should allude to the fact that i'm not being serious

I'm not a guy, but I have about the same amount of fashion-interest as one...ie, not very much. I'd be with those that said "I'll wait outside" XD Even though I'm a girl.
