but seriously people leave the cartoon/furries to the profesinals in the animation/comic/manga & game industries.
I mean im all for art & if you think that Sega/Archie will notice your OC & say "Hey lets hire this Guy/Girl then thats being somewhat delusional. (almost as much as the fans who put AMV"S up on youtube with sonic or amy with their OC, no just no.
although i must admit if those furry artists would put their artistic skills towards fan-comics that would be great!

Ever heard of Jon Gray and Dawn Best, two artists from Archie? Both of them were pulled straight from the fandom. And Gray is our very own WB.
I also think Tania Del Rio (did I spell her name right), was also a fanartist at first.

but in all seriousness i had no idea some of the artists came from fandom. I guess another reason I bash is becuase ive always wanted to make my own fan-comics, but draw like a 1st grader (If only archie would release a how t odraw book eh.) but I gotta say some of the artists are kinda out there though (darn furverts, how dare they think inappropreate thoughts about my Blaze!!!!) but seriously i don't mind fan art but the OC's get to me sometimes (Ecspecially, like I already said when people put them with their fav sonic character in a vid on Youtube, its just annoying & confuses younger & newer fans!)
but yea just thinkinn out loud.

It's an unfortunate facet of the Sonic fandom. You'll find it in every fandom at some point.
As for improving your own drawing, practicing is the really the only way to improve. Have you tried sight tracing? That's where you find a picture and then try to copy it without tracing paper. It's the only way I can sketch anything. You might also consider getting one of those wooden artist's mannequins. They have neck, shoulder, elbow, wrist, waist, hip, knee, and ankle articulation, so you can pose it and see what basic shapes are needed for a particular pose.

Kayla's dead on there, it's a good way to start but you have to move on from that fast. The quivering blokes are dead useful also, along with muscular anatomy pictures (which I personally backtrack to viable mobian structures as well. Not back for my sig obviously, that's yonks old).
