How do you pronounce this Dude`s name?
Base.
Bass pronounced Base.
Given that the main characters are musical (Rock and Roll) Bass makes sense. Protoman is a literal description of what he is (as most Robot Masters are) and Rush is an exception to the rule.
...but in my heart, Rush is a musical term. So sod you, my way works.
Bass is pronounced "base," like the clef or the instrument, since most of the names are musical in origin.
Yeah, Mega Man is not enemies with the species of fish. Bass, well that could be a different story.

I am honestly surprised it did not come up sooner. Now, I wonder if this thread is going to devolve into a Forte versus Bass argument.
How about Blues vs. Protoman?
PROTOMAN ISN'T BLUE!! >:O
Protoman? You mean Breakman, rite?
Oh my god, it just keeps going!!

Don't you EVER post pictures of Mask Shop Owner with his eyes open. Seeing it in the game alone terrified me almost as much as... the baron...
*rocks in the corner, shivering, muttering something about "don't hurt me, I'll get the umbrella"
YO!!! IT'S BEAT, MOTHERF***ERS!!!!!!!!!
DUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE, I LOVE THAT LITTLE GUY!!!
lol tango
lol treble
The name switch with Bass and Treble make sense, given that they're both a type of clef.
I can't see the connection between Forte and Gospel (I think that was Treble's Japanese name). Can anyone shed any light.
Gospel fits with the various musical puns, but I will agree that it does not complement Forte as well as Treble complements Bass. I wonder why they never created a character with the name Piano.
Thanks for clearing this up for me.
I geuss I should have made the connection, what with his Dog`s name and everything...
BTW, I #%#%*@% love fusing them together and flying around in Megaman & Bass. ^_^
HELLZ YEAH!
You would make the crazy mask salesman your avatar, so it can now taunt/creep me out >_>
Rockman & Forte > Megaman & Bass
Rockman & Forte > Megaman & Bass
Correction:
Rockman > Megaman
Bass > Forte (because Bass' robot dog's name is Treble, so it just makes more sense that way)
