Yes..CN is trying to get some of their old fans back in 09 with ppgz, CNU & Dexter (CGI) But i doubt it'll work. I think eliminating toonami was the last straw for alot of the old fans. (even if the last year or 2 of the block was sub-par)
What about TFA; I figured people would be excited about that if nothing else.
The anime is all stuff I have already watched fansubbed or do not care about. As for the American stuff, it just sounds like more of the mediocracy that Cartoon Network has been producing for the last few years.

Actually CNU will be far from mediocer..The story is being written by Craig mccracken (PPG) & Genneddy Tartztakovy (Dexter, Samuri jack) The Cartoon is being done by the same team that did Teen titans & TF: animated, the manga is being done by DEL RAY & the MMO is being made by CN, williams strret & some 3rd party game company..wich name i don't know!

Shippuden starts in late Fabuary.early march of 09....Sadly its undecided weather it'll be on friday nights or saturday mornings/evenings.
Hmm... That list is very uninspiring. The PPGZ dub is intriguing though and I may or may not start watching Naruto. The original series never got me, but I have a friend whos been watching the fan subs of Shippuden.

Yes CNU & PPGZ are on the top of my must watch list for 09....Hopefully COllege won't get in the way come fall 09....But anywho back on topic. Although its been Easy to Find info On CN & Boomerangs future...I can't seem to find any concrete stuff on AS....Anyone KNow what the Guys At williams street are planning for 09?

I respect your openion toby..But I must disagree the makeovers for Dexter, KND, PPG & Samuri jack all look preety good if you ask me. It's fine of you don't like it, But don't tell it to burn yet (1. Your not Ghost rider.) (2.Its not even out yet.)

I like magical girl anime as well. I just think PPGZ is far from being the series to represent the genre, and art work is about the only thing it has over the original PPG. Honestly, if not for the PPGZ being cute and borderline loli, I might not have watched all 51 episodes. For the record, Ojamajo Doremi and Cardcaptor Sakura are my all-time favorites of the genre.
Looking at the FusionFall website, I would have to agree that the transition from cartoon to 'anime' did not do the Eds justice. However, Ben, Dexter, The KND, and the PPGs seem to have made the transition well. Let's just hope that Cartoon Network puts their A-Team to work on the writing for the show and comic incarnations because they are going to need it to make this crossover a success.
As for Adult-Swim, I predict that they continue to give us a mixture of crap and underappreciated gems of original animation with a small helping of stuff produced outside of William Street. Of course, the way that both CN and AS are going with anime, I am continously getting closer to exclusively watching fansubs and reading manga.
Indeed..It stinks that the guy in charge of CN now isn't much of an anime fan. I mean only 3 new animes confirmed for the entire year of 2009. Most animes that were on have been excilled to online only on Toonami jetstream. & on top of that as far as we know AS may not even show any new animes Next year...Heck i just hope the'll finish the ones they already have at least. Well I guess anime's had its 15 minuts of fame on u.s. tv long enough though...Well at least will always have Youtube & DVDS.

Isn't the Garfield show that one that's been advertised on CN to hell and back about two months ago? Isn't it already airing (clearly at a time where it's impossible for me to come across it, even by accident!)?
Actually, as I type this Underfist is airing right now, but I'm too absorbed with other things to pay any attention to it. I just like having the TV on as background noise. Not really a fan of Billy & Mandy anyways.
As for anime... well, there's always Sci-Fi Channel's Ani-Mondays. I hear Gundam 00 will be airing after Gurren Lagaan ends its run in a few weeks.

The advertisments a few months back was for one of th 3 Direct to TV/DVD movies...the other two will premire near the TIme the series starts.
I forgot to record underfiest on my dvr so i'll have till wait till tommarow at the encore. (Im watching family guy right now.)
& yes there is animonday..& its good...but still i miss the days when CN had just as much anime as U.S. cartoons...Sigh...oh well....Cant wait for SHippuden & PPGZ. Hopefully the U.S. vers won't be 2 heavily edited...The version GT showed of ppgz was th phillipiens one. & i really hope VIZ don't screw shippuden up...& that they can confirm the New Dr.Slump anime coming to U.S. shores.

Cardcaptor Sakura is also my all-time favourite magical girl anime, just like you. However, I know barely anything about Powerpuff Girls Z other than it basically being a Japanese version of Powerpuff Girls. I'll be finding out more about it before I make a full judgement on it.
