Yeah. Long story short, i was looking around boredly and

It started looking like this. I did a few 'annoyed' refreshes then finally messed with my firefox till it looked back to normal.

does your computer have more than one language installed? cause sometimes i get weird text because of my other language maybe it has something to do with your computer ... then again maybe it is just the mofo cashing thing.
I just refreshed n' stuff, it went away.
looks to me like you somehow stumbled across EB! ( http://www.sonic-hq.net/eliteboard/viewforums.php?f=3 )...though I have no idea why/how it'd suddenly end up that way, or how refreshing the page would have gotten you back here o.o

EB = EliteBoard version of the MF -- there was supposed to be a move to that board (back in 2006, I think -- pretty sure it was around the time I joined this place, anyway), but it didn't end up happening. It's still possible to log in and post in certain forums on that board, though, so every now and then a new post does appear there. *still checks that board every now and then myself*^^;
Who knows. Sometimes I log in and have mod abilities.

looking at the Unofficial RP Discussion thread in the RP Guild, I think I may have figured out how Leraku ended up at EB, at least^^; (did it involve clicking on the link to GM: Exodus by any chance? That GM took place on EB (since it was supposed to be an RP/IC version of the MF transition from EZ board to EB))
I went there, but i was lazy and just hit my usual MoFo bookmark.
I didn't directly go to the EB.

Adding a little more history to the mix... *cue groaning*
In order to get human guinea pigs to put it to the test, they moved the entire SPA over there sometime in Feb. 2003 and closed off the ezBoard (which is now Yuku) SPA. Yes, the intent was to one day move the entire board over there, but (obviously) that never happened. Between a declining MoFo population, server issues where EB was hosted, a "Meanwhile at Valve" mentality at developing it (dubbing progress at anything developmental-wise a Vector Eventually), and other things (I can't and don't claim to account for everything since there was a huge chunk of time that I wasn't even lurking this place between then and now), it just died off and became a footnote in MoFo history.
That, and I doubt that people appreciated the shenanigans we caused in the early days of the Eliteboard SPA and wanted nothing to do with it. 
Case and point, GT and I account for 1/3 of all Eliteboard SPA posts alone. Second case, glowing avatars (basically, a couple of us discovered a glitch caused by improperly tagged glowing text html code could cause avatars to glow. The majority of the EB SPA populace jumped in. Headaches and browser crashes ensued)
But damn, those were the days. (I know, I know...get off my lawn)
If we ever do move some features and lots of what I learned will be coming back, at least if I am developing the board.
You should just continue developing it, regardless. It's a good forum, even unfinished. My only gripe is that the backend's interface could be more user friendly.
Yeah, I'd love to go back to EB. Though, I'll second Shigeru about the user friendliness.
I remember giving myself a whole lot of headaches trying to figure out the user preferences. I did absolutely love the ability to switch between screen names without having to log out and log back in and would love to have that ability again.
Same here. Granted, the backend interface was probably the last thing to be fixed up had things gone as scheduled due to forums being primarily frontend beasts.(although I was quite suprised that I was able to change my password successfully when I made my annual post this year o.o)
Username/persona swap was easily the most godliest thing I've ever seen in a forum. Being able to use a supersig and custom forum layout via CSS were also pretty awesome. Although I can't say I have my hopes up with an actual final product coming out, if you ever do resume this undertaking, I'll definitely support the cause once more.
Ah... I remember the ezBoard... good memories. This eliteboard thing looks cool, but it looks kinda old.
Okay, I'll admit that Eliteboard was a good idea...five or six years ago. But it became a meme for something that will never be completed. Still not seeing any evidence that's going to change anytime soon.
Eliteboard will never be finished.
