I'm watching TV right now and they're advertising some Dark Knight related toys. That's a little unsettling to me given that The Dark Knight was rated R and clearly not a movie for children, yet they're market ting it like a PG-13 action movie.
Anyway, the toy is basically this Batman mask/cape ensemble where the wings on the cape extend outward. Okay, that's fine.
And it comes with a nerf gun.
Batman doesn't use guns!
Craig, what's that Frank Miller thingey where Batman says something funny about not using guns?
The Dark Knight was rated R
WHAT THE FU-
It's a kid's toy... >3>

Um, The Dark Knight WAS a PG-13 action movie, even if it's skirting an R rating at various points.
It's still pretty unsettling, though, given how violent the movie was.
I has a Batman action figure with a missile launcher.
Movie!Batman has never hated guns, so I can deal with it. Infact Keaton shot at Joker in the middle of street from his jet.
I can't find the panel you refer to, but fortunately, I can do one better. A parody advertizement for Batman toys.

It pokes fun at the exact thing you complain about.
So I still saved the thread?

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
If The Dark Knight was in fact rated PG-13 and not R, the error is with the MPAA, not me.
But you didn't do the research, though, Srol.
Read my last post again until the need to reply to this topic fades from your loins.
And so it is!
... I read it again and again and I keep coming to the same conclusion: You didn't do the research.
Or maybe I'm missing or misinterpreting something. Though it's unlikely you'll comply as asked, I'll ask: "Why don't you explain for me?"
Confusing thread is confusing.
