I saw Snakes on a Plane yesterday. =D Silly but fun. Also, I saw Close Encounters for the first time a few months ago. My thoughts? Meh. ET was much better.

Yeah, you never expect a Sandler film to be emotional, but 50 First Dates was like that too.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail for the first time ever.

Explains a fair amount of the jokes I've seen in the past, anyway.

If you want to see a really good emotional Sandler film, I'd advice for you to check out Reign Over Me.
Just came out early 2007, it's a really good film in my opinion. Nothing legendary, but definatly worth watching.

actually now that i think about it, he does have a few emotional ones or at least really really sad parts with little or no comedy. like in big daddy, where the kid is taken away... "but i can wipe my own a**!" 😛
and i had forgotten about 50 first dates..

Stupid fat high school hacker kid who was in the movie for NO DAMNED REASON got a ton of lines

i actually thought that the scene would've been better if he had just not said anything at all. i thought "oh you're kidding me, there's going to be another human character? don't we have enough?" but i was mistaken thank god.

I saw Live Free or Die Hard like literally ten minutes ago. WHEW, what a rush! Bruce Willis is like the Terminator, he's unstoppable! Loved What's-His-Face Long's part too, good to see him again; a nerd who finds his inner badass. Also, did I spot Tuvok?

Oh, I, Robot was on last night. I suppose I should feel some sort of righteous indignation at the audacity of Hollywood in remaking a treasured study of human/robot juxtapositioning and turning it into Rush Hour 3 4: Bros Before Robos...

But I liked it.

What do you wanna bet Smith channels the exact same character into "I Am Legend"? I hope not. He could use some "Fresh Prince" to show Neville's lonely slide into madness. =D

Got to watch another soft-core adult film on Showtime last night. It was pretty boring.

Yes, I said it.

Just watched The Bourne Ultimatum... Awesome. Great way to finish off the series... On a cliffhanger :D

I'm looking forward to I Am Legend as well. Will Smith is one of my favorite actors.

Just re-re-watched Secondhand Lions. Good god, that is a hilarious and heart touching movie. Michael Caine and Robert Duvall shooting fish in a small pond with shotguns always makes me laugh.

Tomorrow night I'm going to see Andy Samberg's 'Hot Rod' with a neighbor I haven't seen in 10 years :crazy

Just saw The Bourne Ultimatum. You know, I considerred the first two movies to be mediocre. I don't know why, but I really enjoyed this one a lot.

Just finished watching AvP. I really like that movie, even though many found it seriously flawed. Hopefully AvP2 will come out this Winter as slated.

Edward Scissorhands. Considerably tamer than I'd feared it'd be, even though I knew it was supposed to be rather tame. Liked it nonetheless.

Just got back from Hot Rod. All I can say is meh. If you don't have high expectations for it, you'll be fine. 2.5 stars out of 4.

Don't get me wrong. It was funny. I think the world of Andy Samberg. Man is THE reason SNL is still alive.

Caught Misery night before last, first time viewing. Pretty damned fine movie, insane, disturbing and makes the audience wince along with poor Paul.

I ain't never writing no books thanks to that *Laughs*

Fingers crossed I'll have Little Miss Sunshine and Raging Bull rentals in the near future.

Serendipity. I love Kate Beckinsale[hotness squared] and John Cusack has been one of my favorites since Sixteen Candles and Say Anything... Everytime I watch Serendipity it makes me think of all those accidental meetings i've had with people and stuff...nice thought. Nicer movie. =]

Caught Little Miss Sunshine last night before Trishie got online. I enjoyed it enough, but there's alot of "embarrassing humour" and I can't stomach it when characters do things which are so stupid that I outright reject the movie.

If the movie had a bigger focus on Dwyane and Frank (suicide guy, right?) then it may have been a better experience for me.

8 out of 10, anywho.

Rush Hour 3. As a fan of the first two I wasn't expecting it to live up to them, but I loved it. The action scenes are there. The comedy, while somewhat forced in some ares, is there. I've heard about the reviews not being all that well and all, but I highly enjoyed this movie. Pretty hard to rank it in there with the first two, but as most sequels...it's tough to live up to the originals; however, this movie fit into the series with ease. ^_^

Transformers, directed by Michael Bay.

I thought it could have been better than it was. I would have liked to see more conflict between the Autobots and the Decepticons, because that's what it's supposed to be all about. I thought the story could have been better, because the one they told was kind of lacking.

Transformers.
Was done about as well as it could be done, meaning that it wound up not bad.
Needed more wide shots, though.

Mask of Zorro. I enjoyed it more than I was expecting, still seems kind of silly that the baddie would take nobleman!Zorro on a tour of his evil scheme 2 hours after meeting him, though.

Transformers, finally.

I never watched the TV show as a kid, so I was kind of going into this not knowing what to expect. As a result I probably enjoyed it more than somebody who DID know what to expect would have... Anyway, point is, I liked it. The human side of things didn't bother me too much either, although Megatron's incessant hatred for us wasn't terribly well-explained.

Watched Star Trek: Nemesis again a few days ago. Supposedly a lot of Star Trek fans didn't like it, but I thought it was pretty good, though I've only ever watched about 4 or 5 Next Generation episodes.

Legend.

It's not bad, I can see how it could have influenced Ocarina of Time in a few ways, however, I doubt I'll ever watch it again, kind'a boring really.

i saw the latest harry potter film last night. >>

it wasn't bad, but it had a sort of 'got a lot to tell argh squish it on in a hurry arghh' feel to it. there were bits they could've cut out compleately and the time used to explain what was going on a bit more. my dad (having not read the books) had no idea what was going on half the time. ^^;
i guess tho' that it was more the fault of the book, since most of the action hapened at the very end in it.

Just watched "SuperBad" last night... It was super bad, but in the good way. I had a headache from laughing so hard.

Although I must say, I will now forever be wary of dancing with chicks at parties D: D: D:

And I wish I could be just half as bad arse as McLovin' m/

Just watched Pan's Labyrinth a couple of days ago. Around the time the movie was in theatres, I was surprised to hear that it had an R rating, seeing how I originally thought it was a harmless children's fantasy movie. When my sister told me, I was kinda in disbelief. Now that I finally got to see it, it all makes sense. REALLY good film though, and pretty sad.
