Those are two different characters. Poll has lost all credibility!

psx, gamma is never coming back when sega killed him they went "opss that was a fun character let's try to bring him back, but we cant... let's make another just like him" and there you have omega. and since i dont have space for more choices i thought its best to team him with omega since i'm guessing who loves gamma will play omega. 
i wanted to make a "real shadow/fake shadow" choice too but that was too mean i think people wanna forget the real shadow. 

and yeah light XD that is funny i laughed a lot too.. but luckly we can read the number of votes when trailing the pointer over the pie chart. waaaaaaa i'm surprised no one did this before its such an important sonic fan study.

and about putting it here XD i didnt see a poll icon in the south island section so i posted it here (probably there is one)  but i really wanted a poll of the sonic characters its a super important poll for us

They sure picked the wrong dead character to revive. Gamma was spectacular, with good enough gameplay to support a solo game, and you can revive a robot easily.

Also anyone voting Shadow or Silver get's a punch in the face.

Sonic and Mighty are the only two that got red. I find this HIGHlarious considering their history together and what went down during Chaotix's development.

I voted for Gamma/Omega.

If one looks closely at Omega, even though it seems like he's just a an oil-thirsty war machine, there's more to him than first meets the eye - how else would he, for example, not only have known about cloning, but would think that Rouge knew about it and mentioned it to her to ease her mind about her supposedly-lost friend at the end of Sonic Heroes, Team Dark story?  And when you think about it, destroying all of Eggman's robots not only is noble if we think about the small animals that are freed, but then there's the idea that he himself is the final robot he will have to terminate - and thus free himself.

Omega's behavior in Sonic Heroes was certainly the starts of an interesting character, especially the way that he was the one to pluck up Metal Sonic after the battle. His motivation from the start of the game was to attack his creator for abandoning him, and prove he was the best robot Eggman ever made.

But interestingly enough, he seemed to bond best with Shadow when we were lead to assume he was a robot and he plucked Metal Sonic up after he was defeated on the Final Fortress. Wether that's a contradiction or he just respects robots as strong as him, I do not know. What I do know is that he was intending to kill the mook robots out of impotent race towards Eggman.

Angle this against Gamma who killed his brothers to free the animal inside, and without even going into their personalities you have two entirely different characters.

Incidentally, Gamma was one of the best characters ever written in a Sonic game purely because he died in his only appearance and Sega had the good grace to only rehash his character design, not the character himself. Makes his death scene (;__; it's so sad) all the more powerful.

Oh, no need to wonder. I'm a Fleetway fanatic as well as a Sonic fan, so Metallix (Metal Sonic) is my huggy lovey squishie. I have the Toys R Us action model on display in my living room, along with my Tails Doll plush and Angel Chao. Given that Metal was the only one that is in this poll that I adore enough to display in my house, it's obvious I chose him.

and craig i did you a favour, tails doll is creepy and probably out to posses someone, the chao arent innocent either do you want them to release chaos again?!  (although i'm surprised you like the tails doll its a one time in sonic R wasnt it? that was one of the oddest ideas i have ever seen robot knuckles and a robot tails was just weird)

Emerl is from Sonic Battle, possibly the only Sonic game made in the past 8 years with a decent storyline.

ah that explains it i never played sonic battle but craig guess what? i bought sonic chronicles XD waaaaaaaaa i'm so happy, its an rpg you know.

I dont actually dislike most of the Sonic cast.

Favourites are Metal Sonic, Knuckles, Rouge and Espio.

Metal Sonic because he will always be cool. Like The Stig. Or Robocop.

Knuckles because he was my favourite character for years.

Rouge because she has gameplay potential and storyline potential as a poopie stirrer.

Espio because he like Metal Sonic will always be cool. And hes a ninja now.

The only characters I actively don't like are Silver, Blaze and Shadow.

I've nothing to say. But when i saw that Espio didn't get any, well... my face was much like that of my avatar.
