It's okay, Ultra. The only reason I know about it is because my mom brought it up casually in conversation once and the idea of someone changing their name to a picture was such a ludicrous one, that it stuck in my mind forever.
I have never heard anything by Prince, though.

Actually, as weirdo as he may be, Prince has really good music, (Purple Rain, always one that sticks out; look it up).
If I remember right, he changed his name to a symbol because of copyright issues, apparently, from someone else/other thing that was named Prince or something.
Really now? When it was explained to me, I thought he changed it because he wanted to "transcend physical names" or something weird like that. That could have been little kid warping my mind though, so I'm sure yours is correct :p
