NES, then Game Gear, then Genny.

Mix DOS somewhere in there, too.

Master System. Actually, a Master System II (with Sonic built in, natch). I had an Amiga 500 before that, but I don't know if that counts as a video game system (though Fire & Ice, Lemmings and Zool are some of the earlier games I remember playing).

Same as Xag: PC is the only 'system' I've ever needed, and will ever be unable to live without.

I had have a Game Boy Colour when I was going through my Pokemon phase, but I'm through with that.

The original GameBoy, then the SNES. Ahhh, good times.

Never had the NES, but I did play it from others who did. I remember as a five year old, I cheated on Duck Hunt a lot by aiming the gun like 2 inches from the TV. Hey, I was 5, don't blame me, my hand/eye coordination hasn't developed properly yet back then.

Atari 2600, sort of. It was actually some thing by Coleco that played Atari 2600 games. Still have all my old games from back then, although I have an actual Atari 2600 now. (the Coleco quit working several years ago)

My first...hmmm...probably the PC. I remember playing a game where you are one of two apes standing on top of buildings, throwing things to destroy the buildings. I also remember playing Wolfenstein 3D (exactly, wtf?!? My protective parents, who say Halo is to violent, allowed me to play Wolfenstein...) and Duke Nukem, along with Avoid the Noid and Commander Keen.

My first console was the NES... I remember playing Super Mario, Duck Hunt, and Excitebike... Those were the good old days.

First one I played was an Atari. I don't remember the number after it.

First one I owned was a Nintendo Entertainment System. My father gave it to me during Christmas time (and yet he didn't gave me a Mario game ** angst ** ).

No wait! A depth of memory trawls back, the greatest of them all...

Crackout, Spindizzy, Spell'n'learn rocket ship. All the greats, on tape. I remember.

Before my Mega-Drive, I failed to play a ZX Spectrum. I think it's still around somewhere o.o

Amiga computer system my dad grabbed hold of when the air-force was clearing itself out. Basicly, the first emulater in existance (before piracy scares). Had some great games on it, Silkworm, Mouse-Trap, Reading Cadets, Rollerball, Robocop, MyFirstPaint, some R-type clone, some old text based adventure, TMNT, MK(saturn version), Amiga's Olympic games, Outrun, and many more... oh the memories flood in of this system, no wonder i was hooked since infancy on games...

1st: NES
2nd: SNES
3rd: N64 (actually belongs to my sister, but the entire family used it)
4th: GB Color
5th: PS1 (got specifically to play Chrono Cross, with the Final Fantasy series an added bonus...)
1st I helped pay for: PS2 (shared with my sister; ended up used more as a DVD player than a game system)
1st I paid for entirely: GBA SP
Current main gaming platform: iBook (with multiple emulators - saves a lot of space, and I love being able to save any game at any time to seperate files. Oh, and I also have actual games for the Mac on it too.)

We've had an NES since before I was born. ^^ The first system we got afterwards would be the Sega Genesis. Then I think it was either Gameboy or Game Gear. One or the other.

We were a very Sega-oriented family until the N64 came out.

1st - Nintendo Entertainment System. Ah, Mario and Duck Hunt.
2nd - SEGA Master System. (I'm pretty sure this was different from the MegaDrive. I can't remember, I was young.)
3nd - Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
4th - SEGA MegaDrive. (I'm pretty sure this was different from the MasterSystem. I can't remember, I was young.)
5th - Sony PlayStation 1.
6th - Nintendo 64.
7th - GameBoy Colour.
8th - SEGA DreamCast.
9th - Sony PlayStation 2.
10th - GameBoy Advance.
11th - XBox.
12th - Nintendo GameCube.
13th - XBox 360.
Coming for 14th - Sony PlayStation Portable
Coming for 15th - Nintendo DS

See. Now this is why I try to be un-bias in the console war. Because I've been on the fences for so long. =P

It either had to be the NES or the Atari 2600 (can't remember). I do remember playing Pitfall! on a constant basis. Back then, it was quite a thrilling experience; it was quite a rush for me to dodge the many traps along the way, the most memorable being the alligators, where one had to grab hold of a vine to swing over them. Good times.

Atari 2600 here. Well, technically it was my parents'. I cut my gaming teeth on the likes of Berserk, Warlords, and Star Wars. I was so sad when it kicked the bucket.

The first system that I actually owned was a Game Gear.

The first one I owned was a Gameboy Colour.

The first one I played (not including computers) was that sega one (*shot!*) with Sonic 2 on it. Because that was the game I played o.o

Including computers the first one was an Amiga. But I owned that so I guess it would go in the first section.
